Even if you think one or two could be ‘meh’. Look beyond tgst. We know our 2 priority signings we are trying hard to do (Martial & Lgit), but not totally in our hands.

Toby doing everything through his idiotic team to reconcile, and accept our original contract with no clause. Only thing, it is not on the table anymore.
It should be imo but excited by the martial link

Good news on Toby, even if all the ITK previous suggests he's burnt his bridges. I wonder if keeping Toby (plus Jan, Davinson, Dier CCV, Foyth) and still adding de Ligt is viable. de Ligt seems to play from quite wide with the ball- versatile enough to play WB perhaps.

We’re actually in for Shakiri and Grealish, aren’t we?

I think if Toby really wanted to reconcile, he’d do it himself and/or let go of his team. A simple personal phone call to Poch and also to Levy could possibly go a long way towards a reconciliation. Seems to me this might be more of a case of nobody else willing to give Toby what we even originally offered

Wow, that is the first time that the Toby situation has been described in such detail. If that really is the case, it might seem like Tobys team really got their expectations about the level of wages on offer from elsewhere wrong. I love Toby and hope he stays, but that ship seems to have sailed well and truly.

If Poch had a plan to make us more unpredictable with those 2, then I'm all for it. I always thought Shakiri could be a great player with the right coach anyway. Grealish seems nothing like a Poch player though, in attitude.

Yeah. If Poch wants them then I can get behind it. It's just a bit underwhelming, particularly if we miss out on our big targets aswell.

Toby staying would surely mean we don't have to go for another centre back and so free up £50m for another player? In which case it seems like a no brainer to reconcile with him. He wouldn't be the first top player at a club to be brought back into the fold

Yeah we want our flashy new players but I'm thinking after seeing Herc comments that if the tweaking involves a few more meh guys but they work to make us unpredictable then we'll still be happy. But the sissoko thing has terrified me on this and you have to think there's a wide pool of excellent players around, so it would be underwhelming to not get one or two.

You’ve seen his haircut, right?

This man does not swim in the deep end of IQ pool

In a rather petty way, I'm kinda glad this has happened to Toby. Yeah he's been a good servant for most of the time he's been here, but he massively shot himself in the cock by putting his dad in charge, placing huge expectation on him to find him a new massive wage packet. Now that things haven't gone to plan for him, he'll have to live with those decisions

I feel a little concerned that our two priority signings are a, most likely, third choice CD and wide forward. Granted, we need a replacement for Llorente and Martial would be a good one, and obviously De Ligt would be a good, all be it very expensive, young third choice cd. But really I still feel our number one priority with a bullit should be a CM.

So this is what Toby meant with his words today, he wants to stay & it's us who are actively selling him (!!!)

Also I saw his mother got interviewed and she was complaining about how football is now just about the money!
I bet that house in fun over family dinners!

The funds for the De Ligt transfer were going to come from the Toby fee anyway. So makes no difference.

I personally think Poch and Levy are sold on De Ligt now and bearing in mind past activities there is no real hope there for Toby, especially while Martial is still on the table (toby is a bargaining chip here).

Definitely some back peddling going on with Toby, not sure it will make any difference but we will have to see.

That's THREE posts I've had to delete asking ITK questions.

It's obvious a number of you still haven't read the rules. Fine. Don't bother. I'll be back in a couple of hours to ban the next few simpletons.

Nighty night.

about the 3rd choice CD- isn't Foyth ready or nearing first team duties yet?
