just skimmed this thread, seems like some still cant get to grips that this is not a match thread... :bang:

Its quite simple, keep doing it and you wont have anywhere else to talk about our matches other than Spurs Chat.
Will re read this thread some point tomorrow to find out who it was.

Diarra looking very likely now. Quite a few sources saying he is close. Fingers crossed!

Yeah,Diarra would be a great buy if it happens..............disciplined,tough tackling and powerful runner.
I would definitely say that he is a better player now than Essien who has had a few bad injuries.
The other thing I like about him is that he is a superb man-marker and I hope this is a talent of his that we will utilise next year against the big players.

My concern:

Modric 5'8"
Diarra 5'7"
Lennon5'5"

We are the smallest team in the world. Our academy midfield is probably taller.

Sandro makes up although I would think that he wouldn't be on the pitch with Diarra

So we get Diarra, does this mean the end of Afellay and/or Mata ?

Especially now there is some talk of JJ re-signing

Maybe Modric gets pushed up higher on the pitch. Sandro next to Diarra would be fantastic. I think Sandro has enough tools and the ability to get forward enough that it'd be waste if he was only shielding the backline. I'd love for him to be an all-action player, a couple of times last year he made some great runs up the field, and maybe Sandro can develop a longshot like Hudds, he showed us a little bit with that Chelsea screamer.

He's got everything, he really has. I honestly believe that in 3 or 4 years he could be among the best central midfield players in the world. There is nothing that you could point to and say he lacks and top of all of that he has a great attitude and work ethic.

Was my favourite spurs player for the last 3rd of the season, immense.

I wonder if now that Chelsea have agreed a deal for Lukaku that Drogba becomes available? He'd fit the bill nicely wouldn't he.

They do seem anti Spurs, its why i don't read stuff from them
Sports mail editor is a long term Chelsea season ticket holder, one of my clients is a huge Chelsea fan and he,s been going to the bridge with him for years. it explains why they took the lead on the modric story.
Also levy banned the standard when it was owned by associated newspapers due to it's anti spurs line

This is great news and has made my saturday night...

SS57 is still alive!!

We knew this in the mod forum already. But you don't want to know how we knew this. All I can say is thank heavens for Peter shenck the elder.

Really? That's why?

But there are so, so many better reasons. ;)
