We really need to put all this behind us now. Hopefully it will all be forgotten about soon enough. I just hope the idiotic fans dont get on his back after all this. Most of the stuff has been rumoured and we haven't heard it straight from Modric in the first place. So there's no need to treat him like scum. Tevez wanted to leave City long before this summer but he stayed and do you think City were moaning when he put in MOTM performances? Same goes for Fabregas as well.

I really think we need to look forward now. Modric stays, we move on. Now lets show the ambition that will keep all our star players happy.

Perfectly put and I sincerely hope all our fans will see it the same way.

 Well said. We can now just sit back and wait for the arrival of our shiny new stiker(s),

You make some salient points as always and I don`t disagree, Liverpool are certainly on the way up and with scope for improvement from Carroll, Suarez and Merieles I think they will be a better side next season than most people...

I think they'll be a better side next season...it's just that I believe, keeping our best players, and making some good signings (which I believe we will), we will still be betterthan them.

"Hello Mr Modric nice to meet you I'm Mr Rossi and this is Mr Vucinic" :hump:

FACT: My local 'Ice Cream' man (same street, round the corner), was called Rossi. I moved from their 26 years ago...today I saw his son (now in charge of the Ice-Cream van) = Rossi IS signing.

Okay, t'aint ITK, but would be an amzing coincidence

Levy's comments about 'happy when he meets his teammates' indicates to me that agents have been orchestrating this move and Luka, not striking me as someone who enjoys personal confrontation or disturbance, was pressured into thinking he should move.

Levy probably thinks, with some justification, that once he is in the safety of the team unit Modric will be fine, and he will have good influences who tell him he should stay that balance or outweigh the money grabbing agents

My heart stands by what Levy is trying to do 100%. Brave man. But my head says lets not start sucking each other off just yet. Lets get to 1 Sep, 00.01 hrs with Modric and then celebrate that even though our best player's heart is no longer in 100% in it, at least our chairman has sent out some kind of message.

Truth is, unless a miracle happens next season, we all know all we are doing is postponing the inevitable. A small piece of my brain says when you have a player publicly stating he wants to go, then you end up looking a bit sad by forcing them to stay. It's happened to Arsenal & ManU in the last couple of years, bigger and better clubs than ours.

I think we all put a bit to much pressure on our chairman over this issue to be honest - certainly not helped by Redknapp's continual televised verbal diarreah . I admire his balls, but I wouldn't have held it against him if he'd just tried to get the best deal for the club, re-invested wisely and we all moved on. After all, as much as I love Modric, if we sink as a club because one player goes, then how good are we ?

My heart applauds this gesture, but my head is not so convinced about what this means for us.

That's how I saw it too. Either that or Levy's going to get Alan Hutton to 'have a word' with Luka.

No...but surely that makes it a double-sign:grin:

^^^Double sign.

Had a conversation about this before (maybe even with you, Hottie...in which case we are both going senile). What I can remember is that my Uncle drove us out to ballycastle to buy ice-cream from this tiny shop - and it was nectar of the Gods, the tears of the angels condensced and put into ice-cream tubs. I was quite young, so, obviously what I remember most is the incredible taste of the ice-cream...can't remember the name, though.

So, to clarify, on the 1st of September at 00:01 we FINALLY have permission to suck each other off?

Cant undestand that logic BC. Its bigger than Luca Modric, all this is much bigger. He signed a 6 year contract not long ago for God sake.

A miracle for next season? We might as well pack up and go home. If we keep this squad intact and manage to get in a bloody good forward or two, we could be in a title chase and we'll definitely be in the mix for the Champions league spots again - with not having the distration, and excitement, of playing in it again this time round.

We have an excellent chance of getting top 4 again if we keep this team together and address up top where it needs improving significantly.

The player we should be going for is Casemiro of Sao Paulo. Wonderful talent.
