Blimey, it went crazy on what was surely the busiest ITK weekend we've had so far this summer. There's a shedload to get through, which is good because it gives me an excuse to delay Part 3 of our ongoing ITK expose which remains unfinished

Blue and Yellow

I've read all sorts of solutions. Seriously, i'm starting to worry about some of you, especially when the solution is blatant.

When added together, the value of the blue and yellow balls in snooker is seven. There are seven days in a week and 52 weeks in a year. Add the 5 and the 2 of the amount of weeks in a year and you have seven.

And that's your answer.

We have had a bid accepted today by his club. We have now been given permission to speak with him and try to agree personal terms.

These talks will take place within the next few days, and if we agree (which we probably will) we can expect it to be completed by about Thursday/Friday.

I imagine the medical will impact on what wages we are prepared to offer him. The fee I was told, from a top source at Anfield, is agreed at £3m. He had hamstring trouble, then foot and ankle injuries which held him back a lot last season.

I also think he became de-motivated as Hodgson left and Dalglish went for youth and energy to revive Liverpool's season. He's not a Kenny player but is very much a Harry player because of their history.

He is not enjoying life oop north, either. Desperately wants to come back to London. That's all I know.

So we wait. And we'll see.

Just had a chat with my contact, he is on the way to the airport so this will be it from me for a few weeks.

First the good news is that he is certain Modric and Bale will be with us for at least another season, When I asked him if a any amount would change things he said perhaps £50M+, but even then he doubts Levy would deal and certainly not with another Pl club.
Leandro offer has been increased and again he thinks it will be done before he gets back off holiday (15 days) not sure that he would be with us before August though! We have made a number of initial bids for strikers and he expects that we will get an experiencd one in, but might take some time because of Internationals , holidays and the Manager merry go round. Apparently we were fairly close to off loading a couple to Fulham before Hughes decided to go, but QPR still might take one or two.

Parker still looks likely, but Cole rumour has no legs we have not shown any interest. We are also looking at a couple of younger options at CB.

I asked about Harry to Chelsea and he laughed, but added although Harry and Levy resolved some issues in a meeting last week there are still tensions Interestlngly he said for the next couple of weeks only expect freebies or cheaper young talent that Levy feels will make a profit on if Harry does go, at least until court case has been done and dusted.He also said Friedel deal was done with one eye on a coaching role next season the club are still looking at other keepers just in case an offer for Gomes comes in, the club do not see Gomes as long term any more and he has only a year left on his contract.

Sorry I can't give names for target players, I don't think he knows, but the rest I believe to be sound info.

Moussa Sow interest has dropped, didn't impress for Senegal recently. Also worried that he may just be a one-season-wonder.

Heard nothing about a new Leandro Damiao bid as yet - have been waiting on Klose but he's off to Lazio so I hear.

Asked questions about Lorient's Kevin Gameiro but my source XXXXXX thinks his size is an issue (5'7" apparently) but there is some interest there due to his proven goalscoring record.

XXXXXX also tells me Eden Hazard is the next best thing and would want to come to us, providing teams offering Champions League don't come calling also. Harry likes him but wants PL experience though and would prefer N'Zogbia.

Also no idea where the Joe Cole stuff is coming from.

More tomorrow all being well.

I've had unconfirmed information that Palacios might struggle to pass a medical due to a knee injury.

Also a similar situation with Jenas, which might prevent outgoing transfers.

I'd go for Leandro Damiao signing for Spurs, was posted by Football_Agent9 on twitter. Not much to go by but seeing how we've had a few bids for him, maybe we've agreed the fee? Announcement today or hopefully by the end of the week? I hope so.

O'Hara won't join anyone who wear yellow and blue for the simple reason that there's no teams in the PL that wear that and I'm sure whoever he'll join will be a PL team as he's too good (and proud I think) to join a Championship team. Unless it's Pompey! mg:

Maybe just maybe, POTL posts obscure cryptics when he doesn't know much to be in with a shout of translating his cryptic into whatever transfer happens. :shrug:

Well on a striker front (which is where the majority of fan interest appears to be) Blue and Yellow is most likely to be Brazil/ Villareal (based on kit colour) so its likely to be Leandro or Rossi.

Given Leandro has been heavily linked, I'd put my money on that.
