stand by what i think of ekotto.. if we want to improve left back and right back are positions where we really need to kick on in and become more solid as well as creative

i watched every single game too and imo he is not no where near the play or evra and cole and what they bring to their team. thats my opinion , respect yours but for me bae is a bottler, lazy and lacks drive and passion but he does have the odd good game but then follows it up with some awful ones..every team we play targets him and one game sticks out already was stoke at home when he was murdered down wing time and again . i know cos i was stood in south stand in absolute disbelief on how thsi guy was a footballer.. harry can say what he wants in public but really hope rose kicks on in pre season and even better we sign proper left back . you talk of evra and cole. for me he doesnt lace even baines boots let alone those 2!

I would agree that BAE does have his moments and does blow a little hot and cold, however this season has been his most consistent overall since he has been with us and I have noticed a marked improvement compared to that last couple of years... now Im not saying he is the perfect left back but he is a lot better than some of the rot out there.

My problem with your first post was your thoughts on Rose as a better left back than BAE? Put down the crack pipe my friend. Yes he did play admirably when he was brought in, but I think our perception of that was down to us fearing he would be UTTER gash and he was actually not as bad as we were worried he would be. He showed a lot of energy, as you would expect from someone who has been playing left wng, however he has A LOT to learn defensively. There was certainly one goal in the last two games that was purely down to his naive defending from a corner when he did not come out quickly enough to close down the attacker. I would say that with some coaching and more experience in the role he may grow into it, but at present BAE is by far the better player in that position.

As far as bullshit goes on here recently Weve only had to put up with reading the negative ramblings of a few posters. However this is quite possibly the most Ill informed and clueless drivel I've read since BC was trying to put forward a case for JJs continued involvement at spurs using his dodgy stats garnered from the sun on a Monday morning. Seriously.

ok, i watched every single game this season, home & away....either in the flesh or by internet feed (always a full game)

how the hell can you say that???

BAE is simply an outstanding left back, he is right up there with evra & cole & could quite easily have been our player of the year imo....he is brilliant!

I think this goes for most of us.

thats my opinion buddy u dont like it i dont give a fuck..i have plenty of mates who all support other teams and all just laugh at ekotto. they dont rate him one bit. i just grin and take it but ekotto is average left back in my eyes. he doesnt create enough , he doesnt score at all, he doesnt tackle hard enough , he is not solid and is got at easily. not good in air, he does enough to just get by but thats all.. a position i hope we will improve on.. u look at player like baines. he scores free kicks, pens, and gets fowrad time and againa nd gets so many crosses in.. cole does same although doesnt score as much evra same.. they are serious threat going forward.. ekotto give me a fucking break..
