Well I thought initial targets were Lemar (did the bill of attacking player playing for good European side) and Barkley, so that's very exciting...in my eyes anyway

DL: Alright Rybolovlev, we want the boy Lemar, what say you to 10m english pounds.
Ry: £45m or no deal

(Later that day)

Poch: Ok well if we can't get Thomas I have other players who would suit my system, I would like to do this before pre-season to give the player time to adapt.
DL: chill, we got this.

(Deadline day)

DL: Alright Rybolovev, £8m.
Ry: (hangs up)
DL: Sorry Mauricio we tried our hardest but we couldn't get this over the line.

ITK: Lessons have been learned....

I've rated this disagree, but that doesn't even do this justice. It shows massive disrespect about how Spurs and also the way we do our business is done. It suggests nothing is considered. Nothing is valued. Who has actually ever said the words 'lessons have been learned' also? Never heard the club at them tbh.

The problem with waiting for the end - it leaves us taking players other teams no longer want. We don't leave teams enough time to find replacements for "quality" players - so by leaving it late, the only thing we get are the players other teams want gone...

Or we get the players we want for a fee we like because the extortionate fee their club was holding out for was clearly too much otherwise one of the moneybags would have paid it, no?

So nobody that has been sold this window were our targets then, nice to think we haven't lost out on anyone.

Gutted! We should have been all over that Neymar geezar!!

Anyway, Barkley would be a great addition, adds pressure to our 3 behind Kane. Hope the movement includes a right-back, and I presume the "Italian" is still do-able whoever that may be.

We sign Barkley next week , watch how pundits reverse their predictions & make us one of the title favourites-simple reason being he improves our squad, pushes atleast 2 first XI players for starting spot.

So to summarize from what I can remember from various ITK sources over past few weeks....

Three coming in hopefully.

Barkley is most likely coming but it will be a battle of wills and may go down to deadline day (hopefully not but possible), although JJ seems to hint that it may be sooner than later.

One attacking player is wanted (possibly Italian or playing in Italy) but if they don't get that target, they have a premier league attacker as a back up plan (who may be Josh King). Perhaps this is where we will get some news soon. Not sure if Josh King is ITK but I seem to remember people mentioning the name.

RB is the other obvious need - not sure where this posiiton stands based on ITK.

I just hope that the three coming in does not include a third-choice goalkeeper. If that counts as one of the three, then depth is still a big issue as the need for either a RB or pacey attacker would not be filled assuming Barkley is a given eventually.

Hopefully he liked the part where the third choice keeper was not one of the three desired incomings. If so, that's very good news as a window with Barkley, a RB, and an attacker would be pretty darn good IMO.

Agree with the majority here, Barkley plus a dynamic attacker (Italian Job) and a solid RB option (happy with almost all linked) and keeping the rest of our stars and this may actually end up a very good window. No issues with 3rd choice GK coming in too.

Now up to Levy and co to get them over the line
