I'm sure gards gave some itk on Thursday or Friday saying the one that's close isn't the GK

It probably is him but that would be so underwhelming I'm not even going to think about it

Gards disliked this, dunno if he's saying he didn't say that or if he's saying it isn't gazza

But I'm pretty sure he said it so seems the Monday stuff isn't gazza

Or maybe he just doesn't like me?

Given Ryan Sessegnon was an original target is there a chance this could still happen despite the new Deal at Fulham? Ensuring Fulham got more money, but still open to the move?
Edit: basing this on reports our targets have not changed.

In reality it was widely regarded that Pereira and Barkley were two of our primary targets, and since neither has been sold elsewhere or renewed contracts, based on the comments from Trix and JJ tonight, it stands to reason we are still looking at them as our preferred choices.
Normally I'd be concerned about going so late into the window, as clubs may be left too late to source replacements and may not be any easier to deal with. However, Barkley's contract situation and Pereira's release clause (should be decide to activate it) negate that worry.
As others have stated, those two plus a WF/CF would be a pretty good window, however the one area not factored in, would be what's going to happen if Wimmer leaves, would we then be looking at an additional signing?

How people think Barkley isn't a quality signing baffles me. He might not be the household name everyone wants, but he has qualities in his game that suit our style. I for one see him fitting in and challenging our starting 11, which in the end is always a good thing.

We could be signing Messi and there's plenty on here who'd complain he's too short...

He's also very young (23 I think), versatile (could fill in for Dembele at CM but also probably for any of the two or three attacking spots behind Kane) and English which is nice considering all of the national team members Spurs have. Should fit in well and will likely improve under Poch.
