You know, I find today's ITK a bit sad. I feel that both Sissoko and Janssen have been badly treated. The former by the fans, the latter by the club.

In terms of Janssen, there was no doubting he worked hard and the talent he had before he came didn't just vanish overnight. We gave three seasons to Lamela to come into form. Janssen is extremely young and I felt he deserved another season, but what's done is done I guess.

Sissoko's treatment by the fans I feel has been an absolute disgrace. Yes he's not the best, but at least he has been trying. Take Alderweireld, despite the fact that he's apparently behaved disgracefully behind the scenes, even now criticism of him is mealy mouthed at best. In contrast Sissoko has not disrespected the club or fans and has knuckled down and tried, and has improved during his time with the club (granted not enough to compete in ability with some of the rest of the squad, but that is besides the point). The player has worn the shirt and contributed to many wins, whether people like it or not. Any player who plays for the club, tries and maintains respect for the club and fans deserves fair treatment and to be backed. You simply can't say the fans have been fair to him. If the ITK is true and he's off I for one will thank him for his service, and while he'll likely never see this post, I apologise for the abuse he has received on behalf of those who treated him as the fall guy every week.

Feel free to suck them dry by way of apology!
No one is personally attacking then as human beings .

even Durex don't make enough lube to account for the ban-stick ramming that's coming your way once A&C reads the last few pages of this thread.

Please save the "joke a day" comments for the player threads. I really enjoy the ITK thread for a constructive catch-up on ITK and associated thoughts.

I must be the 50th post outlining this today alone. The irony that this counts as spam isn't lost, but I'm giving up hope.

Sissoko yes, Janssen no. This was Janssen a few months in:

"I have given myself 12 months to succeed in the Premier League with Tottenham and those 12 months are not over yet."

Yeah, a real determined player he is. I think the club was let down by him, as I think he decided he wanted to leave about 3/4 into the season.

I'll always appreciate the effort and work ethic of Sissoko, especially when he was being hounded out as soon as he signed. Just my opinion, but I think that the club deserved more from Janssen, rather than the other way around.

Was it Hercules who suggested (last week?) that Grealish deal would be off if he played for Villa?
Well Grealish is in the team tonight. Hopefully this doesn’t scupper any potential deal

He said we don't want him to play and that if he did it would be telling that we are not close to agreeing a deal for him. Nothing about it being off/on because of it.

Wow, the SC patrons really are living off scraps here...

98 items of ITK, less than 3 days of the window remaining, zero signings or sales and now we are getting excited about two relatively obscure rumours with minimal detail that we just might have received some interest from unknown parties for two players that we will almost certainly have to sell at a loss.

Expectations unfulfilled.

It makes no difference if he plays tonight. If any deals at all are struck it'll be on Thursday IMO.

A quick round up by Hertyid

We have plenty of money
We are not signing Rodriguez
Dembele might stay
Kovacic would be nice
still 72 hours of mayhem to go

Personally, I'd say all of those snippets sound more like opinion than 'ITK'

5 Statements from hertyid and not one of them shows us being imminently close to doing anything at all, optimism is slowly dying. Regardless, thanks for the info!
