Unless they’re not at the World Cup
I have said this before also. I don’t think it matters if the player is at the World Cup or not. The agents know the prices for players get inflated after the World Cup so they will be telling their players to hang tight until after the tournament to get in on the over inflated prices! Barstewards!!

Less salary, but the price. Villa will probably demand north of 30, or maybe onomah the other way as makeweight?
Villa are in no position to demand anything from anybody. They desperately need an injection of funds and can't afford to strike a negotiating posture that would draw the deal out to the end of the transfer window.

30 for a young english talent is pretty cheap today

Also from Birmingham, like UB40. Wears 10, UB40 One in Ten etc etc etc
Yes, when you put it all together like that it looks good, add to that, he does look like a levy and also a Poch type signing. Plus you have possible Josh exchange, and it all just makes sense. Me personally, I like the lad, seems like a good signing, not brilliant because still unproven at our level and who we want to be - so yer maybe “meh” captures it?

Grealish makes sense as he's a cheaper version of Barkley who we were after for ages.

I agree.

Grealish will probably start as the Eriksen understudy, but there was talk that Poch saw Barkley, with his ability to beat a man, as a potential Dembele replacement.

Grealish is probably better at beating a man than Barkley, so perhaps Poch has similar plans for him, if he shows in training that he can adapt to the defensive duties of a Spurs CM.

I’m just under a strong impression this midfielder is someone no one is anticipating and hasn’t been mentioned.

Call me delusional, it just seems that it wouldn’t be an obvious one or else admins would’ve buried this baby.

Or

This is someone previously mentioned from an old window like Malcolm.

As others have stated they have to pay a big tax bill in the next week. They need to get some cash in very quickly.

Regarding Josh. Personally think he will stay, as he doesn’t want to go anywhere. Moreso, he toed the party line, went on loan at his request. Been working very hard, and attitude spot on. Has a specific diet plan, and fitness schedule before returning to pre season training.

Remember when Prince changed his name to that stupid squiggle? From now on whenever I post about Jack Grealish i'm just going to use :meh:.

I'd imagine most agents are telling their players (whether they are going or not), that they should sit tight, and see where things pan out post WC final. So, getting anyone over the line before then would be impressive.
The agents know the prices for players get inflated after the World Cup so they will be telling their players to hang tight until after the tournament to get in on the over inflated prices! Barstewards!!
It could also back fire on them. They hedge their bets until after the WC, nothing happens so they want to come back to the negotiating table with us, ...but we have now lost interest and are looking elsewhere! (Similar to Toby's alleged position). The grass is not always greener!

Really hoping Josh has a breakout season. Another one of ours and would save us having to pay loads for someone else.
