Who: The Goat
Where: SC
When: 7th August

The Goat's source also said that 'it sounds like Eriksen is staying'

Whilst I'd be happy to have him in the squad I'd be shocked if he stayed after all the speculation and allegedly falling out with Poch.

Eriksen staying? Does that mean staying and signing a contract? Or staying to run his contract down?

I just can’t shake the feeling that Real or other big European teams are just playing down interest until right before their deadline, knowing that we know the alternative is him being able to leave for nothing in a year and even negotiate his transfer in Jan.

His future is so key to how the window pans out for me. Stay and sign GLC and we have strengthened and if he leaves we’ve replaced him with a lesser player ( at least for next season anyway).

Although having said that, I’ll be relieved enough that he’s not joining Utd.

Ok if the club are thinking Eriksen is staying then that explains why Bruno would only be the GLC backup and not Dybala.

So disappointing if we only bring in Lo celso and Sessegnon. In isolation it’s great. But not replacing Eriksen is an issue and even if he stays, he isnt bought in to the project.

Is anyone else completely mind blown that we’re in the final 24 hours of the transfer window and negotiating for Paulo fucking Dybala?

Please tell me it’s not just me. Is this the future? Are we living in it now?

Announce Lo Celso and Sess in the morning so we have the afternoon hoping for Dybala and Atal.
If Eriksen stays and we only end up with Lo Celso and Sess I'm happy with that. I'm sure he will get his head down and show his class but he'll have serious competition as well.

Wonder if that is 'new contract' staying or 'leaving for nothing next season' staying ...
He edited it and said he left a part out and added a smiley face. Frankly a smiley better mean new contract.

EDIT FROM A&C: Sorry, I forgot to include this part :D

I don't buy into this idea that Eriksen needs to be 100% committed to the project long term. Danny Rose has apparently been on the verge of leaving for about a year and he was one of our best players toward the ends of the season.

I reckon Eriksen will get his head down, give it 100% on the pitch and do everything he can to woo whoever Madrid's new manager will be once Zidane gets sacked.
