The small sliver of hope I'm clinging to...along with the fact that IGI has typically only posted when something is close (may not be ITK on things unless they are done deals)...

This window has been like watching a big game. You go in expecting great things (new stadium, making a statement, 150 mill, etc). By halftime Spurs are down 2-0. They're trying but they just can't get anything to go in.

By the 75th min (yesterday), you kind of know what is going to happen but you still hold out hope in back of mind. By 80th minutes (today), your hope continues to wear away. Tomorrow will be 85th minute, hoping for a miracle. Thursday will be extra time - just hoping for one goal to not make the final score look as bad.

I've consistently said that my worries are not necessarily about the squad but what Poch is thinking. I just hope that what surely looks like a disappointing or disastrous window based on latest ITK does not cause Poch to leave.

If Toby stays and sorts out whatever happened between him and Poch and we keep Rose and Dembele, then only one possible incoming would'nt be a disaster as far as I'm concerned.

Not ideal, but far from a disaster and depending on who that player is could turn it into decent transfer window.

I always had an expectation of us spending what we earn with maybe a ten mil above sales maximum. With a few small outgoings a just Grealish window fits that idea. I'm refusing to entertain thought of us ending this window in the black. It would be unacceptable.

I wouldn't count on it - Poch has said multiple times Dier is a good CB, even though Dier classes him self as a midfielder more so. Expect to see him between the two positions if Toby goes.
