I'm struggling to see the advantages of the nfl hookup? I mean articles have said Wembley pulled in 2m per game 4 home internationals? Seems like a drop in the water. Maybe someone can enlighten me to a blog/article

This cabbage riddle is starting to
Sound scarily close to fitting my answer to the 2-4-1 riddle which led people to Germany & Kramer a couple of months back. Son Houng-Min from Bundesliga & Ki Sung-Yueng from Swansea.

I'd assume they'd also be helping to fund the stadium as they're going to get basically a custom made stadium that converts into a full on NFL setup when they need it, which is much better than what Wembley can provide. Plus exposure for us in the U.S. to boot....

I think I missed something regarding the NFL.

What's the story there and why has everyone spooged in their trousers?

NFL and THFC were negotiating to hold NFL games in the new stadium instead of at Wembley. Deal is going through now. In theory, it should provide Spurs alot more stadium revenue and alot more exposure in the US.

Then we wouldn't own the stadium ourselves? I imagine this will just be a simple rent out for them to play there 8 nfl games per year.

No, this is about a new nfl franchise team playing in London, not about the one or two nfl games wembley get

Could see the stadium name reflecting it aswel. There was a lot of talk about the naming rights for the stadium being a big deal for Levy. Wouldn't be surprised if we were called it the "NFL Soccerdome" for a few quid...

It would more than likely be that, but I'd imagine they'd like some input into the design of it (the larger changing rooms, player facilities etc) This could be the NFL's long term home in the UK, they'll wanna make sure it's perfect. It's feasible they may chip in extra for this.

Not sure. The NFL has a long tradition of leveraging stadium deals they don't like against the public to get free money. I guess we are getting a bit to help build our new one. But it will come back to bite us in the ass. But, to their credit.....England isn't aware of this nasty business practice that the NFL used to screw over Los Angeles, Baltimore, Houston, Oakland and St. Louis. And there is a list of 18 franchises alone that have used Los Angeles to get tax-payer money to keep their teams. Oh and New England was a month away from moving to Connecticut before we paid for infrastructure for the new Gillette (that was necessary though as the old Foxboro was shithole)
