Interesting from Goat, but not in the least bit surprising.
For me, next summer will be the one to watch in terms of outgoings. While players stay with us this coming season, most will be assured of regular football, in a World Cup year. Move and those are at risk.
Baldy does need to pull his finger out though!

dunno about that, think the slippery slope is here and now... if morale drops a little in two or three places that could mean we fall away- lack of squad depth will cost us in the cups unless addressed

With Levy, its a habbit. He has his business man hat first then the fans hat. All I would say is I am not surprised. I am going to go into a meltdown on this for the time being

Agree, but nothing to melt down over tbh, we've been here before.

Regarding Goat's info on Lemar, if the price increased at last minutes, I think it is a price that both us and the gooner didn't want to pay (yet)

The Goat seems to be saying that we changed the price that we wanted to pay, not the other way round.

Whilst I take the info in good grace. I also choose not to read too much into it. It Sounds like a lot of conjecture.

When sport becomes a business with a bottom line.

Success can be very good for business.

I know Poch is paid handsomely, but even Levy could not have foreseen what a success he has been for us so far. We've gone from being a laughing stock pantomime into one of Europe's better young teams with league finishes most of us have never seen before. He deserves support back. To lose him of the club's own volition would be negligent.

I don't know how much of the goat stuff is correct, but there is at least one part that is 100℅ not the case.

The Goat's info sounds like it's come from, to use the jargon, sources close to Poch.
Whilst it's hugely disappointing news, our manager is not Mourinho, constantly whining about not getting his targets regardless of cost.
We've seen that Poch is thoughtful and dignified in his behaviour.
So I interpret The Goat's ITK as in effect a warning about the potentially apocalyptic consequences if Levy continues to fail to deliver gettable targets because of last minute, "art of the deal", fuckwitery.
The best outcome would be that Levy heeds the warning, and delivers a couple of transfer targets that satisfy Poch and reassure the squad that the club is serious about not just preserving our position but strengthening it.

You've answered your own question...he's a businessman. He ain't gonna jeopardise his prize assets. End of. Not true mate.

And there we go what we all knew, pochettino is only human and the way that right prick up the top operates the football club is only becoming 'fruitful' thanks to the one man he seems to have pissed off. I sure as hell remember what a non-pochettino Tottenham looks like and its bleak - it's a shame that Levy will never change as is evident. We have the only good thing this club has seen in decades and he is treating him like bus boys of past.

Very quickly going off The Goat. If its true then our Daniel is playing a very dangerous game.

Good news about the Barkley fee though, now lets get him in!

Agreed. To accept it as all being true you have to believe Levy is an idiot and the facts show he is far from that.

Doesn't surprise me at all sadly. There are too many independent stories of Levy being a smart arse, changing agreed terms etc. They can't all be sour grapes stories.

Let's just hope this is ITK with a slant because Levy has struck gold with Poch and if he manages to piss him off to the degree he thinks about walking then he's being very short sighted, no matter how amazing the new stadium will be.

Oh, and players being more interested in winning trophies than long term projects and shiny new stadium shocker.

Barkley fee agreed at £20m for me. Seems a bit low and out of sync with how i see transfers working

Errrrrr, and the good news?

Personally not too worried about this at the moment as this either must have come from VERY close to Poch or is agenda delivered. Either from someone within the camp or even to put pressure on Levy himself. As smooth as a million tonnes of quck drying cement.

Pah - "Meltdown Comment Creates Meltdown!" In the meantime we're told no one is bigger than the club itself so I'll just go on supporting Green Bay Hotspur regardless!

That's sometimes the case but not always. Sometimes its a change in payment schedule, amount of final payment, add ons that kind of thing. Basically, what the Goat's been told is that whatever it is, its quite often done at the last minute.

I shouldn't have mentioned it because we all know how that works out for me :D
