From about lunch time I've been busy working. Just chilled in a cheeky bath and seen in a day we've gone from losing Poch to Signing Bale!! Love it!

By the way The Goat said earlier that Levy has a very good PR team. This morning this place was in meltdown over Levy's tactics. This evening we're talking about signing Bale.

Exactly. We're upset last summer and suddenly Isco pops up in the last week. Yeah, not buying it.

Did this Goat info surface anywhere else today ?

Was just driving home from work and Danny Kelly said on TS 'there has been a report today online that Poch is unhappy with Levy for missing out on a few players'

Wouldn't surprise me if Danny Kelly was on this site all the time, he's a proper bonified Spurs geek after all !

Re Breezer

Wimmer valuation was never over the top in my eyes, he has been dreadfully unfortunate to find himself behind the Ajax boys. In this summers market 20m isn't ridiculous, and if he has to go, which I don't want to happen, then that's a really nice profit and he can be considered a successful signing.

All I'll say about the Bale situation is that maybe there's a very small chance that he will have made so much money by the time he leaves Madrid, that he'd be willing to work for a more manageable figure. When you've been hauling in 350k a week then it really does get to the point that you have really accrued all the money you'll ever need and then some. Not saying he would play for a joke of a weekly wage, but maybe something that is near viable.

Good to have the ITK thread alive again and more like it was in many years gone by !
Last night there was a clip where Danny Kelly said he came up with Football365(?). At one time in the early days they had 1000 people working for this. I can't believe that figure.

Don't know about anyone else but i'm struggling to believe which side of this story is true.

For all the negative stuff, I honestly can't believe DL would be such a dimwit to renege on promises with arguably one of our greatest managers. Surely from both a footballing and financial perspective MP is hands down the right man for this job. It absolutely perplexes me that he would do anything to put a strain on the relationship, especially when we are told targets are affordable and willing to come. Why would he (or any rational chairman) do this unless there was some underlying motive to do so?

However, a lot of this kind of stuff has come out about DL over the years. He seems like a man who likes to wield power, does anyone not think that there is no smoke without fire to all of these reports?

One explanation that fits into both of these theories is that DL is a man who wants to feel in control and does not want to let Pochettino gain too much influence within the club. Politics at play possibly.

I think you're over thinking it. DL is a man who tries to maximize the financial side of the club, to pay as little as possible and buy for as little as possible, if he feels he can do something for cheaper he does change goalposts, we know this just the Lopez deal/non deal. Thing is he does this with the club's best interests at heart and I think it has mostly been a good thing for us. But, people get annoyed.

Many people would like the club to be freer in its spending and not try to play games with transfer fees, football men really hate it. But at the same time its exactly because Levy so particular that we are in such a good financial situation. Further more, its also part of our success, which has largely comes from buying value (Dier, Alli, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Wanyama, Walker, Rose and Lloris were all players bought for fees either lower than values or fees for young players with ability to increase value) and by investing in youth development (Kane, Winks and the good £50m or so in our bank gained by selling academy graduates).

Problem is Levy is not playing the same game everyone else is playing and that is bound to annoy the hell out of people.

Then Isco turned into Sissoko and we all turned to self harm
When are all going to take your head out of the sand and realise LEVY AND LEWIS have got no ambition on the football field for Tottenham Hotspur FC it is just embarrassing. All they want from our club is the money train there on. Lewis is a multi billionaire surely if he wanted us to be the best we would be signing players to enhance our team but no we agree a fee with Barkley and that embarrassing tight twat wants to pay in instalments, we just had £115 mil for finishing second from what I gather. Alderwield is on £50 k a week , what would you lot do if you were in his shoes being the best defender in the league. If that bold fucking prick is not careful we are going to lose the best manager we have had since Billy Nick. UP THE SUPER SPURS and fuck of Levy please.

I just want us to be successful on the pitch my friend we have the best crop of players together at the moment for as long as I can remember but strength in depth is what we need to challenge on both fronts. If we don't strengthen players will leave and not only that our wage structure is absolutely embarrassing with what money we are pulling in. But yeah I'm good pal thanks for asking mucks (peace)

I find the last paragraph of Goat's info hard to believe. Especially concerning Beharino - we saw with subsequent straight cash bids from other clubs that Pearce was just being bloody-minded and didn't want to sell. Nothing to do with Levy moving the goal posts in that instance.

The Goats info is spurious at best, thats being kind imo.

From Hertyid on COYS 5 mins ago

These things I know:

Bale is not coming back.

Walker is probably leaving.

We have someone in Northern Italy at the moment. Not sure who we are talking to.

Poch and Levy are very close.

The transfer window only opened a week ago.
