The day is almost over, and barring an igijedi post, I doubt anything will happen today. I honestly think at this point, given that ITK info is a bit behind what's actually happening at the club, it's a 24 hour waiting game.

as opposed to how we usually influence transfers from a message board?

To be fair, on the eve of deadline day owners have to be on the phones negotiating into the late night, no? I would hope DL wouldn’t be calling it a day at 6:00 haha.

Much is actually done over whatsapp these days for simplicity of communication amongst multiple parties.

Saying that, try coming to a simple decision on arranging for a day and place to go eat amongst a group of you. Now amplify that by 1000 trying to negotiate a transfer. There's always that one that you know has seen the message but never replies so you can't actually commit. That's our Levy.

Would love to get added to Levy’s whatsapp group with the new Villa owners right now

Would be heavily using the turd emoji!

The most that can happen now realistically I feel is the Club paying over the odds for Grealish and it being pushed through late in the afternoon.

it 100% is the bravest window since just bringing in Tramezzani under Gross. funny but I don't remember being too disappointed as a kid

I’ve always been quietly confident we will get some deals done before the window closes, but I’m actually starting to believe that we will sign literally nobody.

Getting a bit bored of the 'Other clubs are struggling too its not just us"...arent we the only club still yet to make a signing?

Fingers crossed we have something up our sleeve.

There is a guy in fantasy football with the team name of BSoDL.
Just wanted to let everyone know, you know, just in case you thought it was me

Is that worse than signing nobody?

I have accepted we won't be signing anyone this window. If it happens then I will be delighted, but its the hope that kills you and I am refuse to hope anymore.

I'm not mad, just very disappointed.

Frankly, if one of them is Toby, I'll accept that as "good as a new signing".

Why? We know from ITK that Toby has massively disrespected Pochettino and the club, and the club are actively trying to get him out as he has made his position untenable and beyond repair.

We don’t need a bad apple poisoning the squad, especially when that apple’s sale value is dropping by the week to the point they will be able to force a move for free/on the cheap in the not-too-distant future.

If Toby is still here on September 1st then I will be massively both surprised and disappointed.

Sobering to think that Toby's value is going to start dropping not far short of a million a week if he's still here on the 1st.

If Toby is able to sign a new contract, that means the club has sorted the issues and everyone is on board. If not, then yes, I can completely agree with your position.
