That is absolute rubbish (and pretty offensive to both everyone running the forum and the ITKs).

We pay a fortune for the server to be able to handle these next couple of days. We'd make far more "profit" by paying for a cheap server and limiting traffic as much as possible.
Is this a bad time to talk about that pay rise Gaffer? :cautious:

Think you are a bit off base here mate. I think we have a lot to be happy with right now, but it's pretty obvious every transfer window is an opportunity to improve our squad and push on, so you can't expect everyone to just be content with what they have see so far. City broke every PL record and bought a £60m player!

Poch obviously wanted players this summer. It's always good to freshen things up. If you aren't trying to improve you are going backwards etc...

Does making no signings mean we'll definitely drop out of the top 4? Of course not, we have a very good team, but it also doesn't mean it's the best course of action by the club.

Some people get a bit over the top when disappointed but they only (want what they think) is best for the club they love, like all of us here surely do. (assuming we don't get all petty about people having differing opinions to ourselves of course...)

Let's see what happens. I hope Levytime is trending tomorrow evening (not ironically!).
i think regardless of anything else...we're all bracing ourselves re Toby, we know what the likeliest is, If DL lets him go for just cash, to fuckin united..I don't know what will happen, but the knife will turn in all of us

All the ITK suggests we're still working on things, and until it's over there's no need to panic.
I do find it frustrating that we haven't addressed some of the areas to improve, and despite the comments it's been a tough market, all other clubs have managed to do business. But then maybe that's a reflection of where we are at, signing players to improve our squad is harder, based on the current level of calibre, than it is for most other clubs. Are we shopping in a market we're not quite ready for. It's probably significantly easier to upgrade on on a squad of mid table players, as opposed to trying to upgrade on the players we expected to move on, Toby, Dembele etc.
I'm holding out hope that we will still do business. As the panic sets in for other clubs, some of our fringe players may move on, and from Trix/Herc's info we are being offered some of our earlier targets at reduced rates, so should be able to pull the trigger. Sounds like Levy is still playing 'who blinks first' with United, to get Martial.
Interesting bit was the comment about not buying for the sake of it, only on upgrades, so we won't end up trying to flog more flops next summer, because we've struggled this time, and another season of barely playing/not impressing is not going to improve the saleability of Nkoudou, Sissoko & Janssen etc.

The richest club in the league though, and they've only managed to sign that one player by taking over a year to do so. That should be a hint as to how difficult it is. Plenty of people have been excessively negative since the window opened, and the damn thing still hasn't closed.

Apologies if you took offense it was not a dig at anybody.
I am well aware of how a site is run so it was not me spouting bollocks but me giving an opinion, which, after all is a what a forum is for, correct?
Maybe I have exaggerated to an extent but if my comment is not acceptable then simply remove it, I wont be upset!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. However yours is just border line disrespectful to the guys that run this site.

Without me holding onto history, I have been a member of this site for donkey years when html code was still in its infancy. And what the owners and moderator have invested into making this site a home of the spurs community is absolutely impressive.

If you think this site is only for transfer window activities then I am wasting my time.

Even if they used it to generate funds to maintain the running of the site, then Kudos to them.

Many a transfer window, the site couldn't hold the user hits and with proper capacity management they have upgraded it to handle the work load. Sir you comments are very disrespectful and distasteful.

Unfortunately as much as I and everyone else appreciates the ITK and I do believe they are ITK (so this isn't a dig at ANY of them) A lot of it is going to be used to keep us coming back on the site, if they were to say in January "one summer signing" it would dramatically reduce the traffic on the site at its busiest time - the summer.

Them saying "150m net spend", "very busy summer" and so on gets everyone on the site, refresh, refresh, refresh = ad revenue + more donations. It really is simple and does not take a genius to work it out.

That being said.. They do us all a service so whether some things are exaggerated or somewhat false, it keeps us entertained in a forum we love.

So much derp, so little time

Edmonton on COYS has just made such a telling comment, that this was our chance to bury the other clubs below us in the Europa league forever, yet we decided to sleep through it.

Just disappointing all round really, even more so when the ITK’s closest to the ball so to speak are feeling negative vibes about it all :(

Was it Herc who said if Grealish didn't take his medical today, it wouldn't happen?
Yea but that was when we thought Villa was selling him. The thought was if he didn’t have his physically with us by today he wouldn’t wait around for us and would go to a different Prem team.

The lack of itk less than 24 hours before the window closes is worrying
Yet we’ve still hit 46 pages (and people still wonder why A&C hates the transfer window so much).

I’ve missed most of the day so apologies if covering old ground but if we’ve accepted a bid for Dembele then I’d be surprised if we haven’t also had a bid accepted somewhere for a ball playing midfielder.

Seen too many potential transfers head south after external elements get in the way (rival club, selling club trying to get more money or player deciding to stay) so many things involved it’s a wonder any deals ever get agreed.

No way near enough time for a multitude of sales and purchases to be done. Especially as at this time in previous windows, if something was going on then more than 1 ITK would be saying the same thing.

The fact they are all quiet, there is nothing in the media or social media, I suspect that is us done. Nothing to be done.
