Who: The Goat
Where: SC
When: 13th January

The Goat hears Jarrod Bowen could be happening.

Don't know too much about him. Winger/forward? Could be looking at selling lamela and llorente to free up funds and squad places? I dunno.

Llorente seems to be an obvious outgoing - Lamela, I don’t think he will be on his way out any time soon.

ITK previously stated we would be looking at home grown players.

Might be an eye on a loan back that I think Hercules eluded too - unless we are genuinely shifting players out.

Hull City, Homegrown, 22 years old, good feet, good finisher, hard worker. Prolly one of the best players in the Championship this season. Mostly right wing, but could probably play anywhere behind a main forward.

Scored 2 against Leeds at Elland Road in a 2-0 win.

Might be alone in this but I don't think he'll actually add anything to the squad which we don't have, if he wasn't HG this would be a N'Koudou type signing

It's more of a Lennon, Huddleston's, alli, Dawson signing than nkoudou. We moan about not signing players before they become unobtainable and then we moan about adding a young prospect to the squad. Given pochs reaction when asked about him I'd doubt it was true but we need to feed both ends of the spectrum, some young promising and some established stars.

Home grown so we don't need to shift anyone and if anything it will mean we can pretty much give away nkoudou.

I recall a LOT of similar comments about Dele (and Walker and Trippier).

Also more chance of getting the player sold eventually if it doesn't work out as he will hold more value being a young homegrown player.

Don’t watch his highlights reel... 21 goals and all but 2 of them resulted from poor defending, poor keeping or bundling the ball in the net.

He’d be a very strange signing as I don’t seeing anything to suggest he’s good enough to make the step up to the EPL, never mind playing for a top 4 club. Zero excitement factor with this one.

Dele and Walker albeit raw had something about them, the ingredients with the right coaching and application to achieve great things. Trippier? Erm, no comment. I don’t see any of Dele’s sparkle in Bowen.

Funny how we revise history in our heads. Naughton was considered the better player and had more interest from other clubs. Everyone questioned why we bothered throwing in Walker as well. And everyone moaned about wasting £5 mil on Dele when we needed an established player.

It's an interesting link non the less, wonder how many games we have had our scouts at and more importantly what he is viewed as in out team if he does move.

@Rob dropping truth bombs here.

We have little to lose and a lot to gain by signing these young English players who squad wise are needed.

Would be interested to know if this is a signing with eyes to the future, eyes to helping home grown quotient, or eyes to contributing to squad as a key player?

Championship can bring good players - Maddison a recent example. Good enough to be a key player on a top 4 player? Who knows?

You would assume Poch wants him if he comes. Main concern for me is front three seems to be the area where we are strongest so to make an impact, you better be pretty good. Midfield still is main concern.
