I can't believe Arsenal are actually getting Alexis. When Arsenal start buying players before you, you know things are not going well. With that transfer, and the others they have been linked to, I don't see us getting anywhere near the top four this season.
Don't worry too much. He is an explosive player and Wenger doesn't know how to physically train them properly, so he will sepend half the time injured, just like Walcott.

Do you guys think Christian Eriksen is thinking about Top 4, Top 6?

No, He's thinking about the league title.

There's a good chance Liverpool's new signings won't geo quickly whilst having to deal with regular midweek fixtures again. Ozil was a flop last year and who knows, Sanchez may not hit the ground running. Top 4 is not impossible. We have a squad with potential that under the right boss (hopefully Poch is the man) will do well. Oh and 4th isn't the only route to Champions League anymore from this season. Chin up lads.

I'm far more excited to see what Pochettino can do with this squad than fantising about players who've never stepped foot in this League. We got a big enough dose of that last season.

To be fair the new additions had some excuse, but a lot of our biggest problems last season were the existing players that already had plenty of PL experience.

Actually I'm looking forward to seeing some of those new signings and hoping Poch proves a far better coach than either of last seasons and that he can add a few extra quality players to enable last seasons new additions to play in a balanced team and so get the best out of them

I really don't have any issue with adding quality players to give us the strength in the weak areas PL experience or not

Sanchez will get at least 20 goals this season imho, probably nearer 30, he is so similar to Suarez and probably won't bite anybody and miss games, gutted arsenal are buying him

Agree about his quality. Sanchez is probably the best attainable player this window and has a fantastic attitude to boot. He's better than your Willians, Nasris etc imo. Arsenal I fear will have furthered the gap between us this season. If they put their hands back in their pockets to sign another striker then i'm afraid we are going to endure a long season of happy goons. Great player and really wish we were in a position to make a purchase like that.

i would love sanchez at spurs but i dont think he is certain to be a success right away at a big PL club. he seems somewhat greedy and prefers to dribble rather than pass. he also seems at his best on a counter attack and against teams like our or the scum the lesser teams tend to park the bus and not open up to counters.

While this is true, a winger was not their priority. They need a DM (they have for years actually). They also need 1 or 2 defenders, but Wenger (and the fans) seems to believe Koscielny and Mertesacker are the 2 best CB in the Prem.
They need full backs too.

They won't win the league until they replace van Persie properly.

I thought we might of learned from last year where we did what liverpool are doing and signed too many players to replace the one star... Hopefully we just need to tweak the squad and for some of the players from last year to settle and play to their potential. If Lamela, Vlad, Capoue and Soldado just play to their pre spurs potential we'll be most of the way there... add to that a Left back and some luck with injuries and we have a good chance...

There's go guarantee that Sanchez will be a success. Our little soldier (a magnificent striker until the year before last) hasn't settled in quite as well as we'd have liked him to (hoping he's going to turn that around this year).

We'll be lucky to finish in the top 6 without adding several quality players. Other than Davies who let's face it is nothing special, we haven't been strongly linked with anyone to the point we look like signing them. The only comfort I have at the moment is Lloris saying we've a decent chunk of money to spend but then I think back to when Bale signed a contract extension on the understanding we would bring in new quality players only for the club not to follow through with it.

We did all our signings last season, then we went and got a manager we hope can knit them into a team. We know there are five teams with much bigger transfer budgets than us, four of whom are in the CL, and the other which is one of the world's biggest clubs, for this reason we can't target the obvious players, instead we have to follow the Borrussia Dortmund model of employing amazing coaches who can bring through and develop a team despite financial limitations. We've seen in this world cup, and also with clubs like Swansea and Southampton just how far above their perceived weight teams can punch if the coaching is good.

I agree to a certain extent. The problem is the other teams around us also have fantastic managers or coaches as well-doing the same thing with a few also having higher wages and more investment?
