Plenty of ITK in the Read Only and today is supposed to be a day of announcements. But sod the ITK i've got more important things on my mind……..

Yesterday I came home early from work and saw a guy jogging naked.
I said to the guy, "Hey, why are you doing that?"
He said, "Because you came home early."

But worse was to come…..

My ex-wife came into church last week, it was the first time I had seen her since she cheated on me.

I shouted, "You dirty whore! You are no better than Judas, you fucking slag!" - She looked at me in utter shock.

Then I continued with the service

And finally……

I got a call from Mrs A&C earlier. She screamed down the phone, "My friend Debbie told me she saw you having lunch with a blonde girl. You'd better have a good explanation for this."

"I do," I replied. "She's the new girl at work with huge tits and I thought, if I bought her lunch, I might get to shag her."

im blindly following this grocer bollox all the way to bayer lederhosen, in the vain hope we might sign someone exciting after supposedly signing our seventh defender in 12 months (including vorm).

i was just checking sons age and sw he was born on 8 july 92, so still young enough to fit the profile. what an unforgettable bday pressie, to sign for the mighty lils!

The problem with players like McCarthy and Kramer is that they are at clubs that will not sell them on the cheap, especially late in the window. We've gone through this several times before and it always ends up with a late window panic buy or us leaving ourselves short. There is no way Everton or Leverkusen will do deals in August for either player at anything under 25 million pounds. It's not worth it to them, they don't need whatever amount of money we bid under their valuation, the players aren't desperate to leave, and they likely wouldn't have the necessary time to reinvest that money into quality replacements. The only options for us if we wait until later in the window are players who have release clauses and whose contracts are expiring (and who may desperate for a move). The only release clause I've seen for a CM is Suarez, which is right in our wheelhouse at 8 million pounds. If he goes to Inter, then our options quickly dwindle, given that we've seemingly ruled out players like Cabaye and Clasie (big mistake in my opinion).

I've probably been the biggest advocate for signing Alderweireld the last three summers and am thrilled we look to be bringing him on, but I want to see the buying philosophy that brought him and others with similar international and European pedigree (Lloris, Eriksen, Vertonghen, Van der Vaart, Berbatov, Modric, Chadli) applied to our CM, LWF, and Striker purchases. There are players out there that fit that mold that we can sign in our price range and within our wage structure.

At the very least the announcement and details of our partnership with the NFL and what that will mean for our stadium design. Seems that we also pretty much have Alderweireld locked up. Possible announcement today but obviously who really knows.

This would be great. We need experience in the middle of the pitch. Our squad is ridiculously young and a wise head or two would help us massively.

A bit of caution needed here peeps, it is very rare that the club announces more than one thing at a time, especially in unrelated areas e.g. Stadium/ players. I suspect Toby will be announced later in week if stadium and Nfl stuff released today.

My man is back from hols so will hopefully be in touch with him later.

After the ITK last night I'm fully expecting us to end up with Suarez. Which I'm happy with. His experience will compliment the youth we have without blocking their progression in the long run.
