If hugo leaves there will probably be a load of ITK for us all to get erections over! I just hope that we sign a keeper worthy of replacing him!

I'd be more gutted if we lost Vertonghen, Dier, Eriksen, Kane, Onomah, Winks, Pritchard or Edwards.
This is the most footballing hipster thing I've ever read on this forum. Are you seriously saying you'd be more upset at losing one of four unproven teenagers (Pritchards not a teen but also unproven in PL) than our only truly world class player

I truly thought Dawkins was going to make it and when Derby took him from under our noses, I nearly jacked it all in. Losing Lloris would be a drop in the water imo

His decision making in particular has completely gone to pot. I really do not know what happened with him and it is a shame to see a player decline like that, mentally he's just gone. HIs reflexes aren't what they were either.

I think anyone's decision making would go awry behind Ramos and Pepe with everyone else in the other half.

Lloris isn't our most important player, Bentaleb is, I'd be far more gutted if we didn't get his situation sorted out, than I will be if we sell Lloris for big fee. I'd be more gutted if we lost Vertonghen, Dier, Eriksen, Kane, Onomah, Winks, Pritchard or Edwards.
Shut up you dick!

I'm just wondering if it's possible to bet on Lloris to become the goalkeeper of the year if he goes to Utd? You sure as hell know they will have a wankfest over him after a few games, even though most of them are slagging him off now (at least on redcafe).

A few games in and Lloris has suddenly "stepped up to a new level" and "developed immensely over the last year", and United have "turned him into the best keeper in the world". Even though he would play just like he has done for us. They seriously don't deserve Lloris. Hope they stick with Valdes, and he sends them into another pre-Gea keeper-depression for a few years. While Lloris continues to be "seriously overhyped" (their words) in a Spurs kit.

Also hope that Real Madrid fucks them over with De Gea, and offers them only peanuts.

I know that it's only rumours yet, and I hope that it stays that way. But this whole situation is pissing me off.

I'm with @jair1970 on this one.

Hell, I'd even take Casillas, he's no where near the disaster the spanish media and the idiot Real fans think he is. He's a very good keeper who plays behind a 2/8 formation.

By the end of the summer we will still have a load of s*** in our squad and will have sold lloris. Then we will buy with what we get from his sale and will end up with more s***. We will do this for kane next season aswell if he continues they way hes playing. Its innevitable.

De Gea only has 1 year left on his contract? If so why is he moving this year? I'd wait a year and kerching, show me the money bitches.

Might as well take those pills now then. We'll miss you.

Lloris is openly talking about United's interest though, further still he claims to be monitoring De Gea's situation!

Whilst I agree that plenty of us like to dramatize, those quotes are pretty clear in terms of his intentions.

And, long experience tells us that we invariably deal in these situations - and if De Gea is sold its inevitable they'll bid. Modric and Chelsea was entirely different given the ill feeling between the Clubs.
The only website I have seen that he says "we are watchful of his situation" say they are quoting The Sun. Has there been confirmation he said it? Personally, I don't believe it because all he needs to worry about is Utd making a bid, he doesn't need to keep an eye on the De Gea situation. It's not like there will be a situation where he sees another keeper sign for Utd and he thinks "if only I have got in there first".

All the other website are quoting Sky Sports (I know, not much more reliable than the Sun these days) where he says "we work for that" in regards to getting back into the CL. The only mention he has of Utd, he is actually palming them off, by saying they already have a GK, so there is no point mentioning it.

"I have a contract until 2019 and I have a lot of respect for the gaffer, the club and my teammates, so I don't want to speak about it.

"For any player you need to play at the highest level to improve yourself to help your national team to improve. I think every player wants to play in the Champions League because it is the highest level. We work for that and I hope to play Champions League football again.

"At the moment, De Gea is still Manchester United keeper so I have no need to talk about that."

Is a goalkeeper really worth that much money though?

We bought him for what, around 15 million? I don't see that he's improved THAT much since we've bought him (he was quality then as well), and I think we could buy a quality replacement for around 10-15 million. If United paid us, say, 40 million for him then we could take 15 of it to buy a quality replacement and then 25 million to fund other purchases (like Martial for example).
I think Lyon have a 20 % sell on fee, above what we paid for him, think it was 12mil that we paid.

Until Lloris is gone, IF he goes, I won't even be thinking about a replacement. His goalkeeping has been one of the only things in the post-Bale/pre-Kane dark ages that gave my balls a tingle--and I am forever grateful for that.

I'm afraid his skill, attitude and leadership won't be fully appreciated until after he's gone.
