I am not ITK but I am going by what I am calling the 'BEN' Theory (something I just invented - also called the 'Rule Of BEN') and reckon that we will sign Fernando Llorente tomorrow.

The 'BEN' Theory is based on our favourite ITK's announcement that we should sign Coulibally a few days before we did officially sign him.

Ergo, his message a couple of days ago that the Llorente deal should happen makes me think that by close of play tomorrow it shall be completed.

We shall see my good friends... By this time tomorrow evening the 'Rule Of BEN' may be consigned to the scrapheap, or it could be being hailed as a theory that revolutionises ITK for years to come!

(p.s. I may have drunk a sensible quantity of beer tonight)

mate of mine who is a mad Bayern fan says we have been linked to Lucas Podolski in the German media

cant confirm and dont have a link as I dont speak boxhead

Well, we tried to sign this pile of turd in summer '08. Fortunately, we failed. Bayern then flogged him back to Köln.

Let's hope there's no truth in this.

Why do people here hate Podolski so much? You'd think he was the bastard child of Jenas, Bentley and Sol Cambell!

Anybody reckon we should lodge a cheeky one for Sneijder? Get Rafa on the blower to his best mate and start tapping him up.

Looks like he's already been trying:

“Of course he would like to play in England, it's the biggest league in the world," Van der Vaart told Sky Sports News.
"He is a good friend of mine and we have contact almost every day. He knows what to expect in the Premier League."

no, it was even worse than that. He got homesick after leaving Koln and playing for Bayern, so after a few years he went back to Koln. No way he'd leave Germany if he cant even go to Munich!! Thank god for that.

While I have avowed myself of using too much emotion, I will fucking punch Harry in his twitchy droopy head if he signs that waste of jizz Podolski. He'll be walking the dog and I will pop up out a little sand dune and BAM right to the jowls. "FUCK YOU AND FUCK PODOLSKI" will be all he will hear. And then the police will contact Rob to get by IP Address so they can track me down.

And why? Because he's tactically inept, does not hold shape, creates little and can't score (only once has he scored 13 goals in the top division and that was more to do with Novakovic and lest you forget many of those years were with a free-scoring Bayern side)

Don't do it Harry. I will fuck you up. And I might just kick the dog.

This is just conjecture but would we really announce a major signing in the current climate in Tottenham/london?

I'm not saying that is the reason that we have not announced Diarra or any other player trading, but its possible?

It wouldn't look great for London to be a powder keg and for us to be parading multi-million pound signings.

The Rule Of BEN fears not the London riots!

Did any more come of mystery's 8 out of 10 ?

Mystery may possibly have some link to Spurs that makes him 'itk', but the whole 8/10 thing is meaningless.

Some player that would be a decent signing..a 8/10 signing....if he is itk, he's heard a name (probably Benzema or Adebayor) but is avoiding laying his views on the line.

If Keane would just hurry up and clear off it would help greatly with things.

Anyone else thinking that if it is indeed true that Keane has a clause in his contract stipulating that he must be the top or joint top paid player at Spurs that it may be critical in all this?

If we bring in a shiny new superstar striker on huge wages before we actually ship him out he may decide to actually stay and see out his contract at the higher wages we'd need to match.

If Levy allowed this in Keane's contract (especially with what Robbie did leaving for Liverpool), then he is less than half the businessman he is made out to be.
