Nice from the Goat.

However, ironic as it is, after being starved for ITK/news on new signings all summer, all I really want right now is ITK on the players we already have - and WTF is going on.

Well if Rose has pissed some people off including Poch maybe it will at least fire us up ahead of the season opener. In a roundabout way we could use this to motivate us ahead of Sunday. Just to prove we're still driven to win things this season.
No need for that according to Hugo:" Our motivation has to be from the changing room, from our ambition and we are looking up. We want to do well for ourselves, the club, the fans and the whole Spurs community.”

I'm struggling to get my head around the fact we're surprised our players might be getting pissed off at working for below market rate, while simultaneously seeing none of the squad investment they've been promised coming to fruition.

Meanwhile they see us selling on players like Walker and Fazio for far more than they're worth with the funds not being used to strengthen the squad.

Our players are largely not Tottenham fans, they all know they could earn money elsewhere, and they want to win stuff - which realistically isn't going to happen here until we spend some damn money.

Having thought about it I really hope Levy let Rose sit a year in the reserves (minimum). If he does he show that he's not all about the money. If he think "selling on our terms terms" as an earlier ITK suggested will make the fans feel better he's very wrong.

That will only confirm to the rest that you can just sign any contract with Spurs as they don't mean anything. If you won't to leave just open your mouth and you get whatever move you want.

Great news from the goat, makes a lot of sense.

It certainly does make sense. It's got to be why Koeman came out and said Barkley may still not be sold and that he won't be a deadline day deal. As I thought, it's a message for Swansea, not for us.

Good stuff from the goat. Hope it's true. Gylfi is sounding a formality based on todays pressers.

Best way to turn this all around is to beat Newcastle well on Sunday and sign Barkley (and maybe Davinson Sanchez) next week, would be the perfect :finger: to Rose and the rags that are going in hard on us right now.

Still seething from todays news!!

Goats itk seems positive, am struggling to see why its the end of the world we havent signed anyone! Utd have signed 3 players and they are no better than before, chavs have signed a striker who isnt better than costa and arsenal signed a striker worse than giroud! City have spent £m's on full backs no better than tripps

Look, we all pretty much agree that Rose was naive at best; completely out of order at worst - but on the pitch he's never taken a backwards step or given anything less than %100 for Spurs and has made himself one of the best left backs in Europe. cutting our noses off to spite our faces would be stupid beyond belief AS LONG AS Rose continues to work hard and perform well while a contracted Spurs player.

We sold Walker, haven't replaced him and Trippier is injured. As I've said in other posts we could leave all our business late other than replacing Walker. That needed to be addressed very soon after he left not just for football reasons which are now obvious but for the signalling that selling Walker was a positive footballing move not a cashflow motivated one.
