Experienced South American = Garay

Can't think of anyone else that is not associated with Juve that would fit our profile and needs (otherwise would have said Alves or Douglas Costa).

Anyone think Levy is bidding on unobtainable players to keep the fans happy and to show we're trying? Almost feels like an owner of a minor club playing at the Olympic stadium.

But we don't know who these players are. Wouldn't the club have to make those bids public for that to work?

In other news: I am not in training for the 2020 Olympics :meh:.

There's got to be more to the Goat's bleat than just informing us that we are not bidding for a player nobody thought we were bidding for anyway surely?

Think Garay is the one. Observer linked us yesterday.

We used to look at ITK and consider wether or not to post it, but we don't get that much these days, so if we get it, you get it. After the bullshit from the other day, if we get the OK from the source, i'm posting it wether you'll understand it or not.

But, seeing as half of you seem to have left your deerstalker, magnifying glass and pipe at home, here's the main reason it was posted. There's a thread about him, so there's a link. I've seen him mentioned in here a few times too, some of your guessing games have also included him. I would have thought putting that to bed worthwhile, but then again 'thought' and this thread......yeah maybe not so much.

Someone like Sigurdsson is exactly what we need. But there's no way we'll pay what Swansea want, and rightly so.
I disagree. We need pace, dribbling and directness in the 3 behind Harry and someone creative in the 2 behind them. I don't think Gylfi could fulfil either role, never mind the price, like you said.

Ahhhh and there I was all about to go on a conspiracy theory that no bid for Gylfi might have implied from Everton and by proxy holding things up for us regarding Barkley.

I like simple though, so thanks A&C!

You can't just rock up and busk it.

I don't want my children laughing at an Eddie the Eagle de nos jours, while I shamefacedly admit that he is someone I know from an old-fashioned bulletin board.

Just put a bit of practice in.

Sigurdsson wasn't good enough before and would be a hugely regressive move at a daft price.
His effectiveness is hugely skewed towards set pieces and he still vanishes in games just like he used to when he played here before.
Let Everton pay to find that out again. We already know.

So just to clear things up, is the player thread about the experienced South American or the player in Northern Italy,

Icardi? Plays for Inter and Argentina
Icardi is 24 and only has one cap. He would also cost a bomb as he is the star player and captain of Inter. He is their Kane. No chance we get him. As for Juve, if they are getting Bernadeschi and Costa it could be Pjaca. He was out for most of last season so didn't get a chance and I doubt they would sell him so soon, but he won't get much game time next season. I would love him.

From the OP
Here's a brand new thread in which we won't be playing guess the Italian please.

We've had two days of guessing, it's gotten very circular in nature, has resulted in a lot of spam, has gotten a bit boring and I think it's time to stop.

If this isn't clear enough and you'd like me to make it clearer, just say so and i'll be happy to help.

Guesses as to the identity of the Juve player in Breezer's info are however, still being entertained, for now.
