I haven't given up on him. Personally I think he's best in a free role from the left. He's clearly a gifted player.

However he also has a habit of disappearing from games that has persisted throughout his career.

Personally I'd prefer Lamela in the 10 role, and Eriksen on the left...or even further back in a 433.

Would like to see the 3 swapping and being a lot more fluid when we have the ball.

Anywho. No news on anyone leaving. You'd have thought at least lennon would be off. Although he's meant to be levy's favourite as he saves a fortune in kits because he wears kids sizes.

I agree re the positions but for it to be successful we must sign a combative, energetic central midfielder who can protect the central defenders and provide cover for Rose/Trippier and co... as all to often last season Rose and Walker/stand in were left woefully exposed when Eriksen, Chadli or Townsend were deployed out wide.

If Martial were to sign, he plays on the left and with the likely fee involved he would be a starter which would mean Eriksen will most likely stay centrally. It's all ifs and buts though as I can't see Martial even signing for us since Monaco are apparently refusing to sell.

Imbula martial wimmer and trippier keeping Kane Lloris and getting bentaleb on a new deal would mean I could cancel my july subscription on Brazzers

Plus if we keep hold of Kaboul and Ade there's still a chance to see a big pair of tits...................win/win situation.

Can't he be cover for more than one position? Poch has said he wants a smaller squad, this would be a way to do it.

We still need 8 players for the front 4.

So we currently have: Kane (CF1), Chadli (LWF1), Lamela (RWF1), Townsend (RWF2), Eriksen (ACM1) and Pritchard (ACM2).

That's 2 vacant spots to fill (CF2 and LWF2). By getting rid of Ade, Soldado and Lennon, we'd be cutting the number by 1 anyway.

I'd say you only need 1. 2 if we sold townsend. Especially if carroll stays.

Haven't seen enough of martial to tell if he'd be versatile enough.

He's versatile in that he can play left wing, left forward and as a lone striker. Whether we bring in 1 or 2 attack minded players, what's important is that at least one of them has pace.

Not a punt, but please not refer to players that are'nt ours as ours - ref trippier.

It's what i hate most about our rivals (especially Liverpool) when they qoute Targets as done deals....

Keeping the essentials (Lloris, Kane and Bentaleb) along with adding a couple other talents into the mix (Martial, Imbula, Trippier, etc.) is obviously the ideal right now. I'm not sure how things might change should a huge offer for Lloris be tabled and he elect to go, but as things stand, it's realistic that the players I've already mentioned could be brought on with the money taken in via the sales of our useless players.

However, as JJ has mentioned, it's going to be just as big of an effort to sell our cast-offs as it will be to land the aforementioned talented youngsters.

If Levy is such a great negotiator the current situation should present an opportunity to ensure that we make top 4 next season. Current players and prospective new recruits should be made aware that in a couple of seasons they will running out in front of 60000 fans in one of the best stadiums in Europe. At that point we should be able to compete financially with the top clubs. I guess this is why we are focussed on young, up and coming players who will grow with the project. There is no need to sell our best players, we should be adding quality, and telling United to do one.

I suspect we will. There's an article today in the telegraph backing up what lots of us are saying, that we won't sell players to Man U.

The Mirror running a story today backing up the Goat's info of last night too. But not saying the bid has been rejected. Although I suspect they are behind or would rather keep it open so they can keep putting out the story week after week.

Will be a massive coup to land a DM, goal scoring wide forward who is quick and are who can cross, alongside Wimmer.

Keeping our big players is also vital as we will not progress if we keep losing them.

Hopefully the icing on the cake will be shitting a but of the deadwood to allow us to promote players like Winks, Onomah, Carter-Vickers and Oduwa

You're far too ambitious?

no way. No 10 needs to chip in with goals. Lamela struggles to escape his marker due to lack of acceleration and his shooting generally lacks power. Agree Eriksen from the left. Chadli behind Kane, or Martial, or Bolasie!
