That was 3 seasons ago though, and I remember reading how Soton fans thought he had lost a yard of pace in his final season.

To put it in to perspective that was the same season where Mason was on loan at Swindon

He's only scored one goal this season and that was a penalty.
He had no pace to lose. He's still a good and wiley pro. Probably more than his age, he's just not enjoying his football at Pulis' snorefest party..

The discussion concerned backup options up front. Personally I'd rather avoid signing players just for the sake of it, though we could do a lot worse than loaning in Lambert. We could sign Berahino :arghh:

If we do happen to sign someone in Jan, I hope that the evaluation criteria are the same as in the Summer transfer window.

I'm wholly incapable of understanding the great need for short-term reinforcements. I also don't wet my bed or pee in my pants. Is that relevant? :cautious:

There is a thread existing precisely so that people can indulge themselves in the chatting about fantasy striking options. I'll even give you the link…….

http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/index.php?threads/kane-back-up.122860/

Those of you who are incapable of finding both balls with one hand, or counting above ten without removing your socks and shoes will shortly out yourselves as the complete nincompoops that you are by continuing to bore me to death with posts naming targets about who we have had no ITK, simply because you, in a flash of what you actually really consider to be blinding wisdom have decided to treat us all to a glimpse of your 'brilliance'………So you can either avail yourselves of the link which I have, in my ultra good looking and mega well hung way, provided or you can out yourselves to me and effectively volunteer to have the fuck banned out of you from this thread…………….

This won't concern most of you, its the bad apples i'm after. The reets. Come to daddy little reetlings, come to daddy…..out yourselves………..

Dude stop over analysing, we'll deal with the potential threat of burn out when it comes.
That's about as glib as I can make the analysis; it's been happening every year for a while now and will happen again if we have too many players with 2000 minutes played before the end of January.

We've got 3 players in the top 20 for minutes played in the PL, and they've also played most of the Europa League. The only club in a similar situation to ours is Liverpool, who are flogging Can and Clyne.

No striker in the PL has had more total minutes this season than Harry Kane (1993m). None.

EDIT: Did a little extra digging, and he's #2 in the major European leagues. #1 is Ronaldo, #3 is Griezmann. Not sure any others have actually pushed past 1800 minutes yet.
