I think Isco will stay where he is as long as he has a squad place, looks like he's just needing a crumb of encouragement from zidane and he stays, just can't see him coming at all.

Got the day off as ever. Most my family will be ignored today. They won't mind. Card ready to update pledges (one already needs honouring)- beer will be procured from the Co-op at about six. This has been a roller coaster ride, especially since the weekend, and my thanks to the cynical bastard that is A&C for his humour and threats.

Seriously though, Sissoko may be inconsistent but IMO he's an upgrade on Mason.

I have managed to avoid getting involved in the whole transfer window safe in the knowledge I trust Poch and I'm familiar with the way we do these things.

Then we suddenly went crazy and sold half the squad so now I can't help but wonder what's going on. The end result will be me spending the early hours of the morning with Jim White and Natalie Sawyer waiting for something that will never come.

Just when I think I'm out they pull me back in!

Impending meltdown aside it's worth mentioning that one of the more enjoyable aspects of deadline day is this thread and the hard work that goes into passing info on to us cretins so I think a little deadline day donation is in order. Only a tenner I'm afraid but today alone is worth every penny.

Zero, one or two(on top of those already done). That I am told this morning was the state of play early evening yesterday. Isco doubtful but still possible, Sissokko more likely but there is a difference in price. Player wants out though, so I personally wouldn't rule out a last minute Remy type loan deal(my opinion nothing more). Zaha though my mate thinks is a no go, but that is only from an agent and it's cone from the Palace side.

Thanks for the info... personally I would only take Isco and no one else.

A GKN, Lopez + Tom Carroll out triple will do me nicely.

How can you say a player that helped France reach the Euros final and generally outplayed Pogba is a downgrade on Mason?

Happy deadline day!

Bit confused what our plan is with regards to squad depth, last season we looked tired towards the end and needed players who could come in and freshen up the squad. Wanyama and Janssen looked perfect for that. But now we have had a fire sale, Nkoudou will obviously replace Chadli but losing Mason and Bentaleb in CM is a bit worrying, especially if Carroll leaves as well.

But hey ho in Poch we trust, would love Isco but just can't see it happening, like most I think Nkoudou and Lopez will be our business done.

PL and GKN all done and to be announced at some point this morning / midday.

Sissoko - unless another club comes in for him and guzumps us i see this as very likely now. Newcastle have been holding out and nothing has come of it for them, we'll end up agreeing a fee with enough time to get him in. Probably won't be until 6/7pm until we see this one materialise.

Isco - we'll agree a last minute loan deal with Madrid with a future first option to purchase fee at around £40m+ (i.e. fairly unaffordable for us). I expect this one to be announced as late as 11pm.
