We all know how this is going to go.

We'll sign Nkoudou and probably someone for the U17s and that'll be it. Danny Boy will turn up for work tomorrow with a new diamond studded Prince Albert saying we really tried for Isco but Real wouldn't accept the fee in Somali shillings or some such excuse.

The difference from past windows is that i'm actually ok with this. Of course it would be nice to have a shiny new marquee signing but Poch has shown he can develop our youth players. If at the end of the season Winks, Onomah or Edwards have become 1st team regulars at the Alli level then Levy's parsimony in yet another window will quickly be forgotten.

Alli broke through. These players will be playing regardless as we have less senior squad depth. The kids will play if any of first 11 get injured. I'm all for youth and positivity but where's the competition for real 1st 11 places? 4 competitions this season too including CL.
Just opinion but latest itk with just GKN coming in and a 3rd choice goalie is really playing poker.

Why? You've seen him personally? Unless he is wearing the Spurs jersey and on the bench I will believe.
He has been training with us, that much is known.

There are very valid reasons why this one is not officially announced yet. Of course, these reasons are being ignored because they don't fit certain agenda on here.

Hahahaha hahahaha!
You what???

You're arguing with yourself mate... Where have I said any of the above?

You asked, 'Apart from the money bag teams, which of outer rivals have strengthened better than us'? And I simply stated that the money bag teams are our rivals... I never mentioned anything else?!

I agree with how difficult it is, but unfortunately we're competing on the pitch, we're not competing on XL spread sheets, so that makes them our rivals, even though they have a shit load more cash than us.

Rocket science ain't it.

But my original point was that we can't compete with the money bags teams in terms of signings, so which of our other rivals have strengthened better than us? You didn't/couldn't answer that so just replied that they're our rivals on the pitch, to which i replied as above.

So in "simply stating that the money bag teams are our rivals... I never mentioned anything else?!" you're completely missing or choosing to ignore my original point.

And if you think we're not competing on spreadsheets as well as/if not more than on the pitch, you're even more naive than I first thought. Those players running around don't grow out of the pitch you know, we've got to get them from somewhere, and that usually involves money.

Is it slowly sinking in Captain?

This is all ersatz anger. Its fake, for show. in 48 hours time you'll have forgotten all about it and be prostrating your slutty selves on the altar of Daniel Levy, begging to just touch that shiny head.

Bunch of fickle ****s :hungry:

The voice of experience...

Already booked your spot haven't you, you slag!;)

Saw this on BBC Deadline day, made me lol

Alan Fisher, Tottenham On My Mind: "Spent the morning at the hospital with a tube stuck down my throat, the perfect metaphor for Spurs on deadline day.

"While I was occupied, Sissoko has gone from a cert to being a Chelsea player. Allegedly. Spurs seek to structure a deal, Chelsea pay more up front. Whatever, we won’t come close to their salary scales, so move on.

"To Germany for young midfielder Max Meyer or Manchester for Morgan Schneiderlin. As ever, Spurs juggling several options, in the past they’ve dropped all the balls. Me, I’m joining those tracking the club jet, supposedly en route to Madrid. It’s TDD and I believe every word of it."

Welcome another crap year, anywhere from 6 to 10, but DL will be happy, he hasn't as normal had to spend any money. Glad after 22 years, I gave up my season ticket..
So after last season, by far our best league performance for almost 30 years, you've given up your season ticket, and thrown the toys out of the pram..?:LOL::LOL:

And Isco, and Batshuayi, and Mane...
Do you really think Bats and Mane represented value for money, considering the fees and the wages reported? Even then, do you think Bats would have chosen us over Chelsea?

Nobody really knows what has gone on with Isco yet. Maybe he just wanted to stay at RM? Can't really blame anyone if that is the case.

Another crap year? You mean the year following the one when we finished 3rd in the league?

It just goes to show how precious everyone's confidence is. You can be told 10 times you're beautiful, but as soon as you hear from a mate's mate's mate that he heard someone say you were ugly, you now think you're ugly.

Let's just see how it plays out shall we?

I'm fully confident.

Of what I'm not saying, but 100% it's going to happen.

Anyone else think Natalie Sawyer's carrying a couple of extra pounds this window?

This is how boring it's got...

One morning of reading all of this and i now fully realise why opposition fans are always referring to us as delusional. Some utterly hilarious flat earth, tin hat bonkersness on here.

I think Mane would have been worth his weight in gold to us. We would have been so dangerous and the way he stretches the pitch would've in turn created more space for our other players who like the ball to feet.

Sometimes you need to think about the team and winning trophies rather than just whether a player is value for money, Sometimes if you pay the going rate, if it's the right player, you benefit hugely.
