Embarrassing...strung along the whole time about pace and nothing happens again. We have improved i accept that but we havent shown any ambition to try and challenge for 1st. I know a lot of posters only like positive comments but this is not great by any means.

You're the person who should feel embarrassed mate. It's a literal cacophony of rumours that you've taken as gospel.

You have yourself to blame for feeling shit about things that didn't come to pass based on ultimately rumours from agents that don't sign the documents that execute deals.

Pretty much the same as most big teams this window bar city and maybe utd. Decent additions, but key positions unfilled.

I'd say no one has wiped the floor with us (especially if we revert to 3-4-2-1), but then that means it has probably been a missed opportunity.

City still look pretty light in CB (assuming Kompany gets crocked again) and DM to be fair, impressive window early on but missed a couple of areas there. Looks like Danilo is the cover for both FB positions too which isn't ideal.

Utd no doubt the strongest window with Lukaku effectively replacing Rooney and Matic giving them a proper DM. Seems he's finally realised Martial is better than Lingard too. Only arguable gap is LB, although Lindelof looks a bit meh at CB too.

Liverpool good early move for Salah. Kept Coutinho (seemingly), but still glaring issues at CB and IMO also at GK and DM. Keita is class but a year away. Ox may disappoint them in CM.

Chelsea, not been great. Bad PR missing out on so many targets. Costa issue still unresolved. Zappacosta gives them RWB depth, no luck on LWB though. Bakayoko and Morata look good but not massive improvement on Costa and Matic. Drinkwater a bit meh for a club of their size.

Goons - Lacazette looks decent and they've kept Sanches and Giroud, albeit with no idea how Sanchez will act. Absolute nightmare with contracts. No real CB improvement, loss of wing back depth and still no capable DM. Toxic atmosphere between fans and club/manager (shame;)) .

Interesting season ahead, let the football take centre stage. COYS.

Sorry, cannot agree with the 'no ambition' statement.

Sanchez is arguably the best U21 CB in the world
Aurier has been one of the best right-backs in Europe for a while
Beat PSG to Foyth
Beat Chelsea (who, ironically, finished 1st) to Llorente.

6/10 window. Good, just. But not great in this case. That's fine with me for now.

Making several 8-figure signings is hardly conducive with building a new world class stadium.

For now stay patient as for us it's all about the long game, the calculated approach, doing it the right way. COYS.

Agreed. A Barkley-esque player and pacy winger away from 10/10 ;)

We've only lost one key player and replaced him with a younger version with much more potential.

We've added depth and some serious young talent, along with a proven third striker.

What more ambition do you want us to show?

Looks like I missed all the fun today, had to go on a course this morning, by time I got home nearly up to 50 pages. Didn't charge my phone up as I was expecting to see the last 4 hours watching ssn while skipping pages to catch up with you mad ****s to find out I was going to spend 3 and a half hours sitting in lister hospital with my daughter having a suspected broken foot, thankfully it's tendon damage.

So what happened? Anything exciting?

Personally think we've had a good window. Still have players to come back from injury, Danny, we know what a player he is and lamela, has showed us glimpses of the player we all expect him to be. Add to that the class of serge, the athleticism of Sanchez and the footballing brain of llorente. We've strengthened our bench, our squad. Happy if Vincent stays, there's passion in that kid. Enjoy the ride, Come on you Spurs.

This is something to remember. ITK comes from all angles, through all channels with different agendas. The ITK means well every time, but the source is key. Agents, clubs, players..the Barkley stuff is a fine example, because Tottenham, Everton, the player and even the agents most likely saw things differently, which effects what we hear.

What we got is bloody class..aurier Sanchez and llorente as a back up, quality major signings IMO. It's just what we lacked. Honestly think a lot of disappointment is the feeling of being so close, people shitting it that the good times will implode. Personally think this is overplayed.

I'm never disappointed as long as Tottenham Hotspur exist, yes upset when we lose any matches, but then can't wait till the next fixture comes round. Yes I want us to win trophies, but I also understand that we are competing with many other clubs to do so, and just need the breaks to go our way to win them.

All this window all I've seen is we need pace, what good is pace when we are facing teams with 2 buses parked up for 15 fixtures

I think its been a satisfactory window. No huge statement, but more steady improvements. Hate to break it to everyone, but we aren't winning the league. Not at Wembley. We need to survive there, adapt and be solid and aim for top 4. These players will help with that.

Get Dier and Toby signed up to new contracts, and its been a decent summer. January will be interesting...

Sure...i should feel embarrassed considering we havent addressed our biggest issue for about the 3rd window in a row. Also plenty of reasons to feel let down due to the itk of we will get pace. I dont blame the ITK at all but its very disappointing. I also think its a bit of a joke that people cant vent their frustrations without being victimised especially by a mod. Im not having a go at any1 who is positive about this window so why should you have a go at me?

Solid window, we wanted quality squad depth and we got it.Yes a pacey WF would have been the icing, but with us playing 3421 he would not have been a starter anyway. We have Son and soon Lamela as our game changers in the attacking positions, and a beast plan B in Llorente

Sissoko out Barkey in, in January and we're good to go!

My claim of no ambition comes from the fact that we have replaced players but have ignored the glaring holes in our squad once again. Fair play if you dont agree we all have opinions

Your actual words were "strung along the whole time" - you're the one allowing yourself to be strung along fella. Don't be an unnecessary victim. Take responsibility for believing rumours - don't be upset with the rumours for not being true. Maybe look closer to home.

I mean self-reflection and not blaming someone else is a very tricky thing in 2017, but still achievable.

I dont disagree with what you are saying. I accept that I have been caught up in the hype. I just wish people wouldnt make things sound definite when their really not. As you said its my fault and ive b3en drawn in again. I will learn from this (y)
