GM is a no I did a thumbs down but not sure it showed
Meltdown incoming...I'm not opposed to gray as I'm sure poch can make him into a very decent player, but will seem a bit of a let down after talk of Martin's, Balde and martial.

Question is, was GM 1st or 2nd on the list if on it at all. And is Mahrez on that list?

Cryptic was always Andre Gomes, and since even Sky have now picked up on it, mods should come out and say it, so we don't waste another 70 pages of guessing every name that exists with some sort of link to religion! It's Deadline day today, this page should be saved for new out of the box ITK links!

For the first time ever, I'm genuinely confident that we are going to significantly improve the squad today. Here's the reason for my optimism, and why I think others should be optimistic, too.

It's very clear now that Pochettino is flexing his muscles at the club and driving our player recruitment, as he is the first person at the club to hold genuine leverage over Daniel Levy. Just look at the players we've brought in so far. Gazzaniga was with him at Southampton and was clearly his choice. Aurier was the starting right back for a club Pochettino captained and admitted he watches frequently (http://www.espnfc.com/tottenham-hot...io-pochettino-paris-saint-germain-are-my-team). Sanchez is a player who Pochettino has raved about and was highly rated in South America before being the stand out player in an Ajax team that got to the Europa League final (he also went for a fee higher than anything Levy has ever sanctioned before). Foyth was convinced by Pochettino to choose Spurs over PSG and Poch's ex-teammate, Veron, was the person responsible for thrashing out the deal to sell the player for Estudiantes. Now, we have numerous reports from credible sources that we are in for Llorente, which is about the least likely signing you'd expect from a club focused on resale value given the age, wages and fee involved. Except, it's almost certainly another transfer that is being driven by Pochettino, who has known Llorente since he broke through at Bilbao and played against Poch in his final years as a CB at Espanyol.

It might not all come off today, but it's very clear to me that the failure in last year's Champions League was a major catalyst for Pochettino to push really hard to build a more robust squad this season.

Don't appreciate having to get up at 4:15 (CET, 3:15 UK) tomorrow and missing the late drama. Hope we can announce a deal or two before 9 PM.

As explained by Rob yesterday, it's a sensitive deal so why should they come out and name them?

I'm happy not to know what's going on if it means we keep a deal out of the public eye to get it it over the line.
