That just means we can still offload someone like Sissoko.
We can't bring anyone else in...
Maybe he meant to respond to a different tweet? Maybe if a spanish club completes a deal this window we will get a player in Jan?

As said before, if the deal sheet was put in before 11..... ahh, nah, I'm kidding myself and using it as an excuse to open that next bottle of wine that keeps calling me.

Fucks sake, anti climax, same shit every year. 6/10 window.
Our squad is good BUT Sissoko, Lamela(if he ever plays again) and N'Koudu are NOT good enough back up attacking options to Son, Alli and Eriksen. Very, very disappointed we couldn't find an attacking midfielder to improve on them. IF Lamela can come back to fitness soon, that will go some way to helping as when he was on form, he was not far off our front 3. Oh well, it is what it is but we will get raped by RM and Dortmund with no Alli.
Jodie, thirdkit87 and charliemouse, why dislike?
Are you really happy we've been left with one of Sissoko or GKN to be starting against Real Madrid and Dortmund in the CL?
Stronger AM back up and RB after we sold Walker were the two areas we needed to strengthen and we only strengthened one of them otherwise we just improved areas we were already strong in, all be it with some good signings but really why settle for this, we are close to something good here and yet again we leave signings to the last minute and are then underwhelmed.

Not good enough, sorry.

If Lamela actually comes back then it's not the end of the world.

This, some people treat ITK as a nailed on cert, and when it doesn't come off they feel robbed...every single window it's the same.

ITK gives an indication of what we can expect. It's more than a little frustrating that ITKs have got it wrong. There was this mystery player - a game changer - a fast forward. We're told not to worry and that it will happen. Well it didn't happen.

The bottom line with this club in the transfer window is the bottom line. Net spend zero.

Let's see how this window works out from a cash in/cash out standpoint.

A bit disappointed we didn't sign that game changer there was talk of or secure sessegnon up even if it was a loan back. Understand waiting on Barkley money wise but I'd have liked to have seen him joining now.

Overall though it's been a solid window and I'm looking forward to seeing how the new guys bed in. COYS!!

I feel like yet again we've tred water.

We need creativity in the middle of the park. We've failed to improve it, again. We need some pace and dribbling ability. We've failed to improve it, again.

What are we trying to achieve? It's a bigger pitch and we are going to struggle even more with the lack of creativity and athletism in the squad.

Then with the transfers bar Aurier who obviously had his issues in France, why are we waiting so late? Are these signings really worth waiting to varying dates in August for?

Very disappointing.
I am sorry, lack of athletism? Have you even seen us play?

It has been said a million times but I will say it again. We are not running the club like a drunk sailor would, nor do we have plants in the garden where money can be harvested in endless numbers. We need to wait and we need to be smart.

The amount of money some players have gone for this summer tells me that football in general is lost forever.

What about a loan? Hypothetically Coutinho gets sold to Barcelona tomorrow. Could we then get Gomes in on loan? Anybody know?

Transfer window is closed...
We can only sell to Spanish clubs, not buy from.
Unless we submitted a deal sheet before 11pm. PL official Twitter confirmed that "a number of deal sheets" had been submitted. Sky Sports reckon that number is 6.

Why are people reading into JJ's tweet about Spain? English window is closed! He just stated the Spanish window is still open

I'm disappointed tbh, we have come 3rd and 2nd in the last 2 seasons, have CL football at Wembley against european giants, and we're still unable to significantly improve our attack.

I'm pleased with the defensive options we now have and I think Llorente is a shrewd signing but if we were trying to aim for the league title and progress in the cups I think we needed more in attack.

Someone just made an excellent point to me -

Izzy Brown is U21 so doesn't have to be registered by Brighton - so Janssen on loan to Brighton is possible?

Maybe this guy is wrong, but makes sense.

I wonder if JJ's latest tweet means that we have submitted a deal sheet for a transfer that is dependent on a fee dominos falling, with a Spanish buying club being a crucial piece in that jigsaw?
