Sure...i should feel embarrassed considering we havent addressed our biggest issue for about the 3rd window in a row. Also plenty of reasons to feel let down due to the itk of we will get pace. I dont blame the ITK at all but its very disappointing. I also think its a bit of a joke that people cant vent their frustrations without being victimised especially by a mod. Im not having a go at any1 who is positive about this window so why should you have a go at me?

If you can't accept that ITK is not a 100% hit rate, maybe following ITK isn't the thing for you?

I can't believe people still need it explaining to them why Fernando Llorente is a superb signing for us.

Aside from his physicality and his track record of goal scoring, we have to ask ourselves one simple question - how do you improve a team which has scored the most and conceded the least in the world's toughest league two seasons running, given that you don't have unlimited money?

For me the answer is - you add depth to what's there, and crucially, you instill a winning mindset, and a belief that you can go all the way.

Depth we've taken care of, and there are very few people who understand a winning mindset more than Fernando Llorente - a World Cup, a Euro cup, three Serie A trophies and more. He knows how to win and he knows what a winning team looks like, unlike almost all of our players who are still waiting for their first trophy.

To find a player of that calibre, with that track record, with a proven premier league goal scoring record, who is available right now for under £15m, is almost impossible. We've played a blinder.

Llorente is the first World Cup winner to play for Tottenham since Klinsmann, and only the fifth in our history. Don't underestimate what he can bring to our team mentality.

Gentlemen, as ever, it's been a hoot.

See you in January.

I dont disagree with what you are saying. I accept that I have been caught up in the hype. I just wish people wouldnt make things sound definite when their really not. As you said its my fault and ive b3en drawn in again. I will learn from this (y)

Its not that...i understand that completely. Im not criticising ITK im having a go at our transfer policy. Im all for positivity but i think we should also be allowed to vent our frustrations without being victimised. Im happy for those who are happy with our dealings but to ignore our shortcomings is wrong imo. If people dont agree with me then thats fine by me like i said everyone has different opinons

The window could have been better but it was solid. I massively enjoyed watching the club bully Chelsea around.

The Sanchez and Foyth signings all but confirm we're going to play 3-4-2-1 more than 4-2-3-1 this season. This means we only need 6 forwards to have two for each position. We now have 5 Poch trusts there and then 4 others who can play there is needed.

You guys always get too excited by end of window ITK. It's likely we were trying and the club were excited but they're always long shots. You then convince yourselves that we're going to sign them and then get depressed when we don't. It happens every time and you still don't learn.

I'd like to agree but it certainly appears Dier has made a move to midfield barring emergency. If so, we are remarkably light at CB to expect 3 at the back week in week out with only 3 CBs with more than a handful of games experience.

Jan, Toby, Sanchez, Foyth, Dier for 3 spots.

Reckon we're alright.

I think it was a great window, but I do worry if there are more like Rose in the squad asking questions about ambition. Aurier and Sanchez should be fantastic, but we had nearly £90m in outs. Everton's club record signing cost nearly £10m more than ours.

Obviously the market is changed, but we just made Bale money and bought just 2 potential starters.

To paraphrase Trump "Who knew transfers could be so hard?"

Look - its never as simple as identifying a target, paying some money, and getting your player. We do have financial constraints that some clubs do not have - that is our reality. That means we need to find the right players, find teams willing to sell at a price we can afford, find players willing to come to Spurs, and find agents willing to let their clients come to Spurs. Its complicated. This year got even crazier after the Neymar deal through every valuation our of whack. To come out with a very good RB, and a very good CB, along with a top prospect at CB, and a top back-up striker - and make a profit - well, its not ever going to get much better.

We gazumped Chelsea - twice - assuming we go back in for Barkley. We beat out PSG. We are stronger today than we were in June. That is a good window.

Sure, we all had our own pet players/positions we wanted to fill - but we are not made of money, and we can not force teams to sell, nor force players to come. We make the best of what we have to work with - and I think we did that.

I do wonder who the "mystery man" or "game changer" ITK was so excited about was. Or maybe it is better not to know.

When we get ITK it's passed onto them through their sources, unfortunately their sources can not guarantee that the i's will be dotted and the t's crossed when it comes to the final hurdles.

Though who was the guilty ITK that never told us that Llorente had serious issues with i's & t's to finally get him through the door 8 seasons late, poxy sat navs poor sods been taking the wrong turnings all those years
