All we need to top all this off is an announcement that we're behind schedule on the stadium and it won't be ready for Liverpool.

My son just asked who we're signing according to the ITKs.

'Well, one's just said we're signing no-one' I replied

'But what do the optimistic ones say?' he asked

'That was the optimistic one' I said.

I can't wait for Daniel's summer transfer roundup - spin your way out of this one pal!

''...We sat down with Mauricio and he told us he believed that being brave was trusting in our ethos that has been instilled at the Club, and promoting youth players familiar with his style of play (brought through at our World class training centre that I have overseen...), instead of spending money on improving the squad in a ridiculously difficult transfer climate...*despite our closest rivals all bringing in players that would improve us.....''

Its so weird, we basically have no midfield. Wanyama injured and Winks have not been ready to play either. Sissoko have been injured as well, Dier and Dembele came back late due to WC. The latter not conciderd fit enough for a whole season. I cant get my head around this, dont we lose even more money if we miss out on cl next season? and also an even harder tw with no pull of cl.

Skipp and Amos!!

I've no doubt the BSoDL will have already pre-spun this in their heads in anticipation of 5pm rolling round, trotting out predictable bollocks like "but we were good last season!!", hoping we've forgotten that firstly our lack of depth got us knocked out of the Champions League, secondly that we looked dead towards the end of the season and thirdly that every other team has strengthened.

However I'm sure even the most committed and bonk-eyed BSoDL'ers are foaming at the mouth wondering how they're going to spin not being able to shift any of the dead wood in our squad, even on loan, as a Good Thing.

Even if we don't sign anyone as Breezer suggests a lot of the overreaction here is going to be unbearable.

We have such a strong squad and we're a long way from needing to sign for the sake of it but people will react like we're a shit team.

I will also add that for me personally the one thing more satisfying than signing a player is when an academy player comes through

Here's hoping one or two of the youngsters come through. Add to that new contract announcements for more top players, and ideally some positive injury news on Winks/Wanyam/Lamela then we're still good. Oh and some sort of new stadium launch next month.

Once the window closes we can focus on what really matters, the great players that are already here. COYS!

Have a friend who knows some of the contractors, they've been asked to extend their working week to 60x hours. Fingers crossed that sorts out any worries over timings.

Would it be wrong of me to take a "We need investment you short arsed bald prick" banner to the first game at our new £800 million pound stadium?.......................................................................................

I like what you've done there!!
