I have been positive based on what I knew. However just had a text and it’s :( . Don’t know if anything will change and something happens literally last minute. But as it stands it’s Zero!!!
Wow. Even some BSoDLs are going to be surreptitiously browsing pitchforks on Amazon today ‘for a friend’.

Well that's a kick in the balls, but let's see. In the spirit if this transfer window I'm going to over interpret and guess that this is purely related to Breezers chance of getting some sweet loving from the missus tonight.

Maybe this is “being brave” sticking with what we’ve got & promoting from youth?

Personally speaking I’ll be gutted if we don’t strengthen & show some ambition to match the training centre & new stadium.

Not usually one for negativity or dramatic statements but if it falls the way Breezer has said then it really is utterly outrageous.

At the very least if we couldn’t find quality to improve the match day squad, how the hell have we not identified and purchased some potential for the future ?

Just completely ridiculous really

It woulds seem our shinny new stadium is going to come at a big cost to the playing side, despite assurances it would not.
I always thought it would - Having assurances from our club, is akin to believing that austerity measures from our government are a good thing.

Fuck it, I’ve ignored my missus for the past 5 days while I’ve been obsessing with you lot on this site. I’m going down to the beach where she’s trotted without me. I’ll check in occasionally for a laugh at the lunatics while sipping my bear with my feet in the sand and the sun on my back. It’s been real!:p

We came third last year with the same set of players, plus lamela / Moura have a preseason under their belts, so its not all bad.

We are repeatedly told its not finance related, our lack of "ins" is due to the fact we are having problems selling players and we have too many non HG players in our group. So not convinced its all down to DL. I am hoping GKN improves and Moura turns out to be a great buy...we shall see.

My guess is that we have failed for everyone Poch would be willing to work with and he is shooting down the last minute bargain bin players that Levy is proposing.

Agreed - looking like an epic failure from Levy.

For some reason, that photo of Kovacic in the Chelsea shirt really pisses me off. A season long loan with the option to buy for £60m - why couldn't we do that?

In contrast, we have spent the last couple of days of the transfer window talking about a Championship player, a 20yr old Norwegian playing in Belgium and a 16yr old Irish keeper... Where is the ambition?

Even if we don't sign anyone as Breezer suggests a lot of the overreaction here is going to be unbearable.

We have such a strong squad and we're a long way from needing to sign for the sake of it but people will react like we're a shit team.

I will also add that for me personally the one thing more satisfying than signing a player is when an academy player comes through

Here's hoping one or two of the youngsters come through. Add to that new contract announcements for more top players, and ideally some positive injury news on Winks/Wanyam/Lamela then we're still good. Oh and some sort of new stadium launch next month.

Once the window closes we can focus on what really matters, the great players that are already here. COYS!

Earlier in the week I mentioned that maybe it wasnt DL who didnt want to spend, I was also told that MP wants to promote/use more of the youth….

City have an even stronger squad and have still added. Breezers ITK represents a complete lack of ambition.
