There are still players being offered to us including one from Italy(who is being offered to all the better sides), but I doubt it will come to anything.

I know how it feels to be a fan of a club under a transfer embargo now.
That must be a much more relaxing experience being a fan of a club under transfer embargo... it's the false hope that has killed us

If Toby stays to fully show Poch he is sorry he'd have to sign a new contract getting rid of that clause. If that occurred that's a massive positive from this shite window to be fair.

If Toby not sold today, he will not be available. Apparently settled his differences with Poch and club. Let’s see...
If Toby and Poch are all good, then this is better than any new central defender we could have signed as a replacement.

I really only feel like we would be short a Dembele replacement (he can be nursed through the season) and a back up for Harry!
Definite missed opportunity this window, but not the complete doomsday that is being made out!

"I am happy to keep all the squad together, there were many rumours during the summer about players out," the Spurs boss said.
"The club made a massive effort to try and extend contracts of Harry Kane, just one example. The club is trying to finish the stadium as soon as possible.
"It is difficult to understand for people in football that Tottenham didn’t sign or didn’t sell players but sometimes in football, you need to behave different.
"We are happy with our squad and we cannot improve our squad. It is better to keep our squad all together, we believe a lot in our players."

There you go...Poch is as happy as Larry!
I'm not fucking happy

Well, at the end of the day it's Tottenham Hotspur Football Club I support, I love, and I am committed to for better or worse, sickness and health, richer or poorer.

And my wife. Her too.

But Spurs came first... :cautious:

Me too........THFC for over 60 years.....
but unlike you I'm on my second wife..

Just goes to show a football club is yours for life, not always the same with a wife.

I think this season will truly shine a light on how much a young squad with no ins and outs can improve year on year. Absolutely no part of the club barring where we'll be playing has changed.

I think this early end to the window is killing Levy's strategy of not buying until he has sold some to make up the difference. Foreign teams are sitting back and waiting until the English transfer window is over so they can then get better deals on the surplus players.

Just seems like Levy won't take a leap of faith that he will be able to ditch some salaries so he won't really pull the trigger on any signings.
Right. This window hasn’t fucked English teams plans. It’s fucked Levy’s plan. Which is always sell to buy.

So Toby will just be here for another season or at least until Christmas? ...

Nope, still not picking up. Still the same shit show for me.

I hope that's correct because it's excellent news if so. To have him hanging around without purpose would only harm squad morale and be a millstone around everyone's necks.

We've basically signed Wanyama, Alderweireld, Lamela, Moura, Rose and Winks for next season.

"It's difficult to understand for people that Tottenham didn't sign or sell players, but sometimes in football you need to behave differently. If we are happy with our squad and cannot improve it, sometimes it's better to keep our squad together."
