I’m no accountant but it is perplexing that we are not only outspent regularly by the other 5 of the top 6 (which is understandable with their greater income) but we get outspent in terms of net spend by a lot of other clubs in the league. Especially when itk points to money being available and the stadium being ringfenced.

Never mind it’s not like we haven’t been here before COYS

Because we haven’t signed at least one player and I along with numerous other fans are fuming. This is embarrassing, I wouldn’t even want to come face to face with any of my mates now.

At least taking a punt on someone, with A chance of the player improving and proving us wrong is better than no one.

How do they expect us to want to spend money if we don’t see it being invested into the team?

You won’t call the squad brilliant when Sissoko and an out of form Winks start in midfield against Liverpool on the first day in the new stadium.

Come on there’s every right to be angry with this. The whole £150m war chest was a lie
Being brave my arse.

o_O i hope you see the irony. ..

FFS.

Liverpool finished in 4th and made the final of the Champions League - and Klopp got the support from his chairman to go out early in the window and pay the market value for the players that he wanted to address his team's weaknesses (plus got some great value in Shaquiri).

Yet, somehow we are incapable of doing that despite qualifying for the Champions League windfall for the last 3 seasons.

Explain that.

I guess it depends on what the fees are. Villa are asking for 35million for Grealish and apparently we offered Rose for Sessengon, do you think they are fair deals? Would you pay 35million for Grealish? A player that was worth 50 million last year for a 18 year old (abeit a very promising one)?

There's spending money, but also being mugged off as well.

What is the reception going to be like at the first game in the stadium?

We could be top of the league and everyone will be in good spirits....

Who knows, lets see how we start the season and if the squad can cope without any reinforcements.

Being brave was about having clear targets and if not available/possible within the budget then statu quo... Poch has big balls...

I'll be over it by then, but there is no doubt if we were playing at the new stadium on Saturday - I'd still be extremely pissed off with the club.

Maybe that was Levy's reasoning for delaying the stadium opening all along ;)

Did the club say there was a 150M war chest? You seem to be holding them accountable for what other people have said.

"Aleks is going to give everyone a grand".

Now people will be angry with you.

I suspect will depend how our 1st few games went as well as how well Liverpool are doing, because of this window probably not looking as good as it could have been.

Wait, you'd go to the first game of the season at our new stadium if it was this weekend and you're mindset would be anything other than 'COME ON YOU SPURS'?

That any supporter could imply this, even in jest, is far more upsetting to me than any lack of transfer business.

Everyone who claims we don't have money can fuck off. We are the 11th richest club in the world. Levy's salary was doubled last year. We've fucking got money.
