I don’t know if your talking about my response to hercs itk about looking at 15m players but I was more referencing the 150m “war chest” Matt Law article that got picked up by numerous papers rather then itk

I think it's very disappointing to be honest and no one could convince me otherwise. Hopefully we can still make the top 4 this season as with no team improvement I honestly think this is the best we can hope for. It would have been nice to have gone into the season, with some new additions to have enhanced the team and to have targeted more.

I really hope this lack of spending doesn't come back to bite us and we don't end the season with Europa League on the horizon and a summer of speculation regarding our top players and them wanting CL. I'm aware that sounds dramatic but it's not far fetched and I feel we will have possibly 'gotten away with one' if we do make the CL again, with everyone else around us making improvements.

I would still rather have our squad than United's or Arsenal's at least, personally, but whether that reflects on the pitch is yet to be seen.

If we're not to buy anyone the least we can do is keep Alderweireld and Rose, that would have our back line looking like one of the best in the league at least. Plus Dembele must stay, our lack of business makes that imperative IMO.
