The only positive I can think of is that it will give some of our youth players the chance to step up and get opportunities. Clutching at straws though.

not me though, with all the previous windows are never thought it will ever be like this.
Now my expectations are thoroughly done.

Better go stop my direct debit for my season ticket. none of my pennies are going into that tight chairman pocket. will sit in my living room and watch on sky/BT.

Where do you think your sky sports/BT subscription money goes? Straight back into the premier league, and in Levy’s pocket (not all of it obvs)

Next window when we will have budget again and actually intending to spend,we will not be in the CL and this will apparently be the reason why we couldn't sign top players. Because they want CL. And then all over again.

BOLLOX
You saying saying Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal have better sides than us.

Just look at their defences.

The worst thing is we will have to listen to various pundits after EVERY poor result saying:

- Spurs are the only team who did not sign anyone
- Spurs have no ambition
- Liverpool deserve to be above Spurs, they spent big
- Spurs can’t adapt to the new WHL

Can’t fucking wait.

Levy has outdone himself in fuckwittery by some considerable margin. Greed is in reality the only constant in ENIC's running of the club.
And it won't be long before we reap the frightful harvest of this shambolic summer of our chairman's complacent cloudgazing and fence-sitting...

There will be value in the January window

Clubs will be desperate to sell in January

We have SURPRISES lined up in the next window

Patience. Levy's legacy is in January

Pick your choice :ROFLMAO:

@jimmyh Disagree with his (Daniel Levy) way of doing deals and be disappointed in the transfer window as you are entitled to do but to come on a Spurs fan and supporter's forum and calling him a rat leaves me speechless

What's worse is that not only did we not get anyone in, but I'm absolutely certain we'll sell a couple in the next few weeks until the transfer window in those leagues closes. Money that we could've potentially paid upfront for incomings this transfer window.

Relax people I am disappointed, but when I think about who we actually have and who we kept. I can see us being better this year. If we do 3 at the back that's Toby, Jan and DS with Trippier who has now probably one of the best set piece specialist in the world after his WC with BD and DR LB who might discover top form. On top of that we have a fully fit Lamela, Winks coming back, and a full pre-season with Moura who will probably be our biggest surprise this year. I can see us competing on all fronts still, so people need to stop winging get behind Poch and back the team. What's done is done. The only one I really wanted was Grealish, but Villa slammed the door shut.

Great post - people don't want to hear it but Toby, Winks, Lamela and Moura missed large chunks of games last year and each have a lot to give, on form. Wayama is my main worry to be honest.

Tottenham Hostpur are a nice big plump, fat pig at the minute. It will be continue to be fattened up until the appropriate time that somebody, ready with the money to pay for such a nice, big, plump juicy pig, is prepared to hand it over and enjoy it's succulent flesh.

One can believe that the club is progressing, that Daniel Levy has transformed us into a top football club AND believe that his sole intention for doing so is to sell it off one day to the highest bidder whilst risking as little company money as possible in the investment.

These two views are not mutually incompatible and can be held simultaneously.

A tragic window, but my support is now 100% behind the team we have. What a team, too.

Cheers.

After following this shit all summer, I've gone into full acceptance mode remarkably quickly. I guess there's no point in getting mad about something you can't change.

Just looking forward to the actual football now.

I honestly think the effect of this is more symbolic than actual. Symbolises lack of commitment and forward momentum. For the fans and probably the players and management too.

No doubt we are a good team, but on last season’s showing not good enough. Yes we will have got better with experience and a permanent home, but not enough to bridge the gap.

I’m deflated and not upset. I’m going to bung an extra tenner into the pot here to make me feel better.

Mourinho wanted two other players. Didn't get either

Pep's targets were ambitious, but again only got Mahrez who wasn't really needed.

Liverpool's business is decent, but are Fabinho, Allison, Shaqiri better than what we have? Keita is top top class.

Arsenal's signings bar Torreira are poor. Guendouzi shows promise.

Jorghino is a good buy.

European clubs have had all the premiership clubs by the balls by the looks of it.

Some of those players may not get into our starting 11 but we have also suffered with bad injuries in the past 18 months in key areas and i would much rather some of them coming on than what we already have
Shaqiri or GKN
Fabinho or Sissoko
