I don't think RM is in for RVP. Sahin isn't going to get any playing time if Modric comes in so he needs to go out on loan if he wants to play. AVB doesn't seem to want him and we just have to accept that.

I know Levy likes to get involved in transfers. I simply refuse to believe he'd push hard to get a player who the coach is dead-set against having. And up until some point last week, we'd been pushing to get Sahin in.

Sahin monstered the Bundesliga and came through the ranks of a storied club - one of the biggest in Germany (a not insignificant footballing country we can all agree) - and then signed with the original and still the best 800 lbs gorilla football club. All this well before his 25th birthday. The prospect of joining THFC, with it wage limitations and Europa League football, might not seem as enticing to him as it does to you or I.

The problem lies in them happily whoring him to the scum whilst trying to buy our best player. Levy is not going to take it well if it happens, because we're directly vying for 3rd with the scum and Sahin would upgrade their team.

This is the first window we've been trying to buy a striker right?

No I think our quest for a "worldie" goes back to August 2010 when we qualified for the CL. If my memory serves me correctly the player we were linked with and had everyone on SC creaming themselves was Luis Fabiano, how is he doing now ? The following window 'Arry's top target was Andy Carroll but we were blown away by Liverpool, he's available again if we want to wind the clock back. You get my drift......
