How do you guys see AVB fitting Leandro and Adebayor into the same lineup. 442 time?

you dont need to fit them into the same line up most of the time... although it would be a great problem to have.

if we get them both it will be more a case of selecting a front 5 from defoe, ade, leandro, bale, lennon, vdv, sigs, gio, townsend

rather then fitting into a a set formation every game.

different strokes for different folks.

i hope JJ doesn't come squash it too soon. I just started getting excited, would be horribly to have to stop right before it peaks

I can't wait to see the reaction here...regardless of what happens. Either we will have shiny new players to celebrate, or gloomy and apocalyptic posts and tweets will be falling from the sky like molten rock.

So, would Ade, Leandro and Lloris turn some frowns upside down?

I'd be nursing a semi, personally. Would be happier still getting the engine room flood under control wrt Modric and his replacement.

Not ITK bashing here but Akqa's record is faily mixed at best. We've also heard alot of this so called 'good news' coming soon and haven't seen much of it (apart from Verts/Gylfi). Won't get to excited untill JJ confirms/SSN/BBC/Official Site have announced it.

I haven't seen much of leandro but Ade could certainly play as a wide forward in a 4-3-3. He naturally drifts out wide anyway so I think there could be a lot of fluidity with a front 3 of Leandro, Bale and Ade.

Let's just hope we can get them in!

They will compete and we will rotate. We are no longer one of those small clubs that have to play their big players all the time in fear of them leaving. Leandro will probably take time to adapt to the league anyway

That's definitely the right way to play the situation in my mind. Ade is well established in the PL. I'd imagine the thought would be to have him getting the lion's share of playing time, and having Damiao slowly come along via some smaller matches and as a late sub should be a great way to get him acclimated.

Ade is 28 and Leandro is 23(?). Expect Leandro to start off the bench but rotation will be a feature of our game. Could Ade play wide right of a 433?

Two great options, though....if we get them.

Did anyone realise if you add a T to SPURS you get SPURTS. Isn't it amazing how quickly you can get from one to the other!!!!

It has dragged out so long it will be more relief than excitement.

We have been hearing about these 3 players for so long now that I'm almost deflated... Not that I won't be over the moon, but the fact it has dragged has almost made it a minimum requirement to get these guys in as we have been mentally planning for them for so long.

Can we solve the modric saga too?

If so then I will look upon the season with renewed enthusiasm which I admit, was falling away.

I hope it is all true.

I would think so, if we are going to compete on all fronts it's reasonable to expect that we'll play something like 55 to 60 matches.

Leandro could easily get 25 games (Europa League, Cups, a few League games) even if AVB employed the Harry Redknapp theory of rotation (which he won't.) This doesn't take into account injuries, suspensions, loss of form, formation changes, etc.

but another BIG) problem is, who gonna be able to controll the the midfield against newcastle when Luka are out ? Just take a quick look at the game when we played against valencia. Either of our midfielders was capable to hold the ball and build up the game.

Dont understand why we always do business the very last transfer days? it just makes it hard to get the team fully ready for the season... And can also be very risky!
