I'd love us to put a 100m bid for griezman or Sanchez just for lolz. And then we get in talks and offer them 100k, see what happens. Just to throw a spanner in the works for Le arse and Manure.

I know you're joking, but it would mean other clubs would refuse to deal with us as we cannot be taken seriously.

This is the problem with modern football. A £100k a week contract is seen by some as being too little

I am joking but would be funny.

In all honesty there aren't many who would deal with us due to levy. Also I was proposing to do it to arse, who lets be honest don't deal with us anyways. It would just piss off their fans haha.

How is that different to the deals we supposedly have tried in previous seasons? There have always been the Levy/overdraft/wheelbarrow deals at the 11th hour which never come off.

hertyid: Onomah has been such a huge disappointment to the coaching staff after his rapid rise through the development squads. I think he either loans or leaves in the summer.

Echoes a lot of the boards feelings. Hopefully the pressue lights a fire under his ass cause he has been shown enough faith by the staff; now it is up to himself.

If it doesn't than I wish him the best cause he seems like a likeable kid. Come on Josh show us what you got!

Would prefer we loan and give him a chance to find his feet. Hasn't taken well to being thrown in here and there; he's obviously the kind of player that really needs to play, competitively, regularly, to get going properly and find his rhythm/confidence.

Yes, especially because he's still very young, be idiotic to give up on his talent this early. For reference in North American top sports league the athletes dont tend to not turn pro until around 21,22,23ish, because it takes time to mature physically and mentally. so there's absolutely no need to rush him out the door permanently.

Tend to agree with you, albeit he has been very uninspiring in all of his appearances for us. Compare him to say Winks who has made the step up and played against the big boys and not looked out of his depth at all.

different players with different attributes, player development isnt some linear progression with checkmarks that all players face at the same time, so we need to stay relax and patient with josh and hope things begin to click for him, because the raw talent is there in abundance.

He needs to go out on loan. From what I hear from very close quarters, he wants to test himself at a good level club, playing regularly.

Sadly all I have ever seen of him is in the first team and I have to say I am not sure what he has to offer. What is he supposed to be good at? Is he a hod carrier type of player or someone who can make things happen? Clearly those who have watched him at lower levels have seen something in him

imo he's a dembele like midfielder protects the ball well and likes to carry the ball from deep. But also has a better range of passing then dembele. That's why he struggling further up the pitch because he has the same attacking instincts as moussa which r none at all, so he really struggles out of position. there's a video of him playing for an england's u19 side against Italy in the European championshps this summer that really showcases his talent.
