So here's your final thread, we're becoming brain washed now, in times gone by there would have been a Lynch mob out for lofty right now, but last night it was more 'meh' I'm off to bed :D

We'll sign players in the summer though.

Honestly.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed the thread yesterday, when the next transfer window opens, normal service and rules will resume.

We'll leave this open for a day or two after which the ITK forums will disappear from SC for spring cleaning. Nobody will be able to see them, it doesn't mean you've lost your access.

Thanks for the work you do in providing this space.

The relatively subdued transfer window suggests that clubs found precious little value in the market. Hopefully this is a sign that prices will correct and come down a little after the crazy prices we saw in 2017/18

High accuracy this window, with all suggesting no players in. JJ was exceptional with his rubbishing of all rumours.

In all honesty, all players moving were pretty much a punt for average performers. If Tielemans was worth the risk no way Monaco would have loaned him out and taken GKN as replacement.

Chances of prices falling in the summer are nil. City will be re-stocking after they lose the title, PSG will go again when they don’t win the CL. When your wealth gushes out of the ground there are no limits to how you spend it. No doubt you will be here again in the summer defending our next bout of inactivity, pointing to the ITK saying Poch is happy with kids in nappies. Not picking on you, it’s just you are the first of the BSoDL to post and I’m just stunned by how gullible and passive you all are.

With respect to other reliable ITKs, JJ is really excellent this window.

Looking at who the rest of the premier league clubs have signed this January, I’m not sure there’s anybody I’d have taken.

I thought the mood was pretty relaxed yesterday and 99% of posts were in good spirits, which is either a testament to how well the team has done given everything thrown their way or we all have been waterboarded into believing this is all fine.

I didn't expect us to sign a new player... but why on earth is Vincent Janssen still with us? That's the question I'm asking after this window...

I totally accept that the stadium costs a fortune and it's not possible to compete (yet) with the likes of Utd, City, Pool financially. Perfectly fine with that. I never expected Werner with the 60-70 mil quoted anyway. Isco / Rabiot? No chance. What I am most upset about is that - for the second window running - we fail to strengthen with youngsters with great potential (our approach in the last decade). With the prices for established players being absolutely mental, the importance of recruiting early has been raised. Brooks, Maddison, Maja to name but a few could've improved us (now or in the future). We've proven that we've improved young players under Poch, have great facilities, CL... We should be top of the list for young upcoming players as a club they'd want to join. For whatever reasons, we even fail to sign great youngsters from the lower leagues. Very disappointing.

GKN didn’t replace him. Adrien Silva did

Could be wrong, but I believe a couple of leagues are still open for business. Maybe we can ship him off to China...

The summer won't be any easier. Sorting out visas and work permits for any Europeans and South Americans with European great grandads will be a nightmare after Brexit. It'll take months for Immigration to sort stuff out - Players bought on deadline day in the summer, won't know if they can stay until after Christmas.
