Come on RT, it's not like we are bottom feeders. We're the next level below the Great Whites, we're like the Bull sharks. Before ENIC came along we'd been 'fucking turtles' for a decade or so.

Bestial and tantric.

Jerking jellyfish sounds better in my opinion.

No doubt now that somewhere, somehow, sometime, something is going down! If only we knew what it bloody well was.:)

All I know is Poch is brilliant with the media....

Not to be all cliché Harry, but he's a breath of fresh air with the way he deals with troublesome players and transfer questions

From articles I've seen Poch said:
"I cannot confirm anything. Today Roberto Soldado is our player and he is in our plans."

I was thinking emphasis on today. Backs up the ITK on multiple deals being worked on at the same time... Waiting until we have ins sorted to confirm the outs?

Is that what ITK has been saying? I thought earlier in the window ITK was saying primarily that we knew where we had to strengthen and getting those players wouldn't rely on players being sold.

Here is Jasper in June:

Who: Jasper
When: 22 June
Where: SO via GG

"We don't have to shift first. Targeted players will come in whilst deadwood is here or not. Becomes interesting when nearer the end of the window and they realise they won't be in the squad if they are proving difficult to move

I think that is where the frustration is coming from. We weren't supposed to have to shift first, but now we are at the end of the window, and the same old "shift first" logic is coming back.

I know that the ITK is giving the sense that everything's bubbling along away from the public gaze so I'll place some faith in that, but I just wish we could have it confirmed by the official site that Soldado and Adebayor are gone and that we've replaced them with someone who might actually stand a chance of playing/scoring for us. I get that it's not much different from most of last season as Soldado and Adebayor were so dire/absent that we effectively just did have the one proper striker in 14/15, but I can't stop worrying that our luck with Kane's fitness/form can't last forever. Come on Spurs, let's get this done, rather than nearly done!

Although I do agree with that feeling like a change in approach from what we thought previously and so frustrating for sure.

Chadli scored 11 goals playing from ALM last season, that's more than Berahino if you take his penalties off. Eriksen got 10 and maybe Lamela could improve on his 2 and I'm damn sure Pritchard can chip in with goals. And as you say, Ade and Soldado were so insipid that even if we played Coltihurst or Harrison they couldn't give us less.

No need to panic, at worse we'll be on par with last year's 5th finishing group.

Contract is running down. He has 2 years left. He doesn't go this summer then noone comes in for him in jan suddenly it's a year and his value would drop significantly.
Plus he's not really a Pulis type player. I suspect Pulis would be happy to move him on and bring in a few big lumps up front.

It's only frustrating if you take it all too seriously. That's your fault, no-one else's I'm afraid.

This "We don't have to shift first" line is being misinterpreted I think.

No sensible club would Sell a player without bringing in a replacement first.

It would leave a chairman with the equivalent of a supermarket trolley dash.

That's even without taking into account we now have a RB that can cross, giving us different avenue to goal, and a CM who scored 16 goals, albeit in a lower league. IMO, we are already in a slightly stronger position than last season.

Some good points there, BC, but taken discussion to this thread in Spurs Chat (http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/index.php?threads/our-squad-2015-16.120114/page-8#post-4707737) as we're veering off topic from ITK Discussion.
