If those three things all happened tomorrow, I'll be a happy man.

looks like jj's saying that we are getting alli but that Ade is staying.

Wikipedia also confirming it: "On 2nd February, 2015, Transfer deadline day in the English Premier League, Dele Alli was snapped up by Tottenham Hotspur, right under the noses of both Newcastle and Arsenal who were both credited with interest in the player." :ROFLMAO:

Inc's wouldn't be free either any club would have to go to tribunal due to his age... Probably cost about £4-5m which is why they won't sell him now for the same.

Why, Burnley already bought him from Bournmouth.

Thats irrelevant under FA rules, he is under 24, so there would be compensation.

To whom? Bournmouth did most of his development and have already been paid. Burnley have only had him since he was 19. He is not even considered club trained by them.

"Again nothing massive to report. Would not be surprised to see a number of players go today as there has been interest in 10+. That said nothing is imminent, and it is very possible for one reason or another none of the them will leave. Lennon I am led to believe has become somewhat complicated for non footballing reasons(but can not go into that on here). That doesn't mean he won't go and is still the most likely to, but I was told he was pretty much done to Hull and that now is back in the balance. If the higher profile outs(such as Ade) go then we have players in mind to bring in today. Was also told that while we don't want to leave ourselves short, certain players(Ade again) will go even without the replacement in place, as Levy will not miss an opportunity to get him out, even if it is only on loan.

Asked about Alli, but my mate had heard nothing regarding his impending transfer. He did say however that he saw Poch just after he had gone to see him play against Yanited in the COC, and said he raved about him and how good he thought he was going to be.

We are very interested and could move for both Ings and Reid today, if the right players move on. Lambert is still an option we would look at, but Pool are desperate for players that they don't seem to be able to get close to. If the get the green light, I am told Lambert is the most likely out to make room.

I know it is very much a case of he might go and then again he might not, but that is just how it is atm. We have a lot of Irons in a lot of fires but until something specific happens out then nothing will happen in. There is sufficient interest in enough of ours to think we may do business today but how much is just not possible to say. All down to the how desperate the buying clubs are imo. It honestly could be a case of doing 4 or 5 deals today or nothing at all. Sorry it all seems so on the fence but that is the situation as i have heard it."

FA's rule is any team taking a player under 24, on a free has to pay compensation to the team losing a player. A team could sign a 22 year old on a 1 year deal and they would till get compensation if he left on a free before he turned 24.

Time for another rendition of A&C's Billy Joel impersonation.

Would be funny if the window all suddenly kicked off and loads of deals happened.

I'm sure there's been plenty of activity in the form of sounding-out behind the scenes, but the evidence of the past 10 years (see the list I posted a couple of pages back) is that we won't spend unless we absolutely have to. We did so in January 2009, because we still weren't out of the relegation mire, and got absolutely shafted because other clubs knew we were desperate. The only other January we've spent into double figures, when we mysteriously found we could buy the experienced CB the world and his wife were agreed we'd needed the previous summer, and also blew £8m on a Scotch thumb impersonator. We might snap up a bargain, but they're few and far between in January, and the ones we have signed (Pienaar and Holtby spring to mind) haven't worked out.
Holt by & Pienaar worked out just fine as far as Teflon Dan is concerned, we made a nice profit on both.

You are quite right. Trying to work out how much is a headache. It will not be near £5m though at least initially.

and isn't that why he's worth more to Burnley for the rest of the season. If his goals are the difference between staying up and going down....

Merry deadline day everyone! Sounds like it could be a domino effect or nothing at all. I fly from Bangkok to Kolkata today then get the train to Goa almost instantly for 38 (!!!!) hours so won't know the ins and outs till like the 4th of feb. That said though, I have no real high hopes of much happening but then again not going to pretend I wouldn't be the happiest man in India to find we got Lavezzi and Khedera on the cheap, as you can see I've set my expectations though! Enjoy the day for me though guys!

Good luck mate. I hate Indian trains. Spent 12 hours with a baby in the carriage that had diarrhea once. Although I have to admit the food was nice.

Harry has brought some think like 20 players to QPR a since he joined them. So the squad is his and therefore it is his fault they are fighting relegation once again.

Yes—and what has that to do with the price of fish, or indeed my post?
