We cannot possibly be considering the possibility of loaning out Pritch after the season he's just had and how shite we've been at the No 10 can we? Utter madness if he's not been assured a first team spot for next term along with that offered new contract.

Not that surprising that a kid who has played 7 more minutes of PL football than you or me isn't guaranteed a first team spot.

If Pritchard (and the rest of our youth) deserve a place, they will show that.

A little worried about only 6-7 out with 4-5 in. (6-7: Kaboul, Adebayor, Chiriches, Paulinho, Capoue, Lennon, Holtby, Carroll...that's eight right there and he sounded like Carroll was pretty close out the door...)

When various sources say 6-7, I can only assume that they are being moderate for the sake of moderation, or that it's implied that the number is "in addition to (insert who ever)." Surely 5 in should see at least 10 off?

In general, yes I'd agree, but his current contract expires this summer. Why would he sign a four year extension if he were to just be loaned out once again after the season he's just had? I think the only way we get him to sign an extension if we assure him at least being with the first team next term.

I won't take the numbers quoted to be exact. What they meant perhaps is quite a few, certainly around 6 or 7, but could be a few more.

yeah, agree with that. I'd suggest there's a minimum number we are looking to move on and if we get decent offers for others then so be it. the final number could realistically be double figures.

Was only thinking the same myself... Quality, reliable and that EPL experience Morrie needs/wants. Surely the wage restructuring would allow for a player of Milners caliber, should he choose to play for the old Lily Whites over the numerous other top clubs...no doubt he'll be in demand...he's on a free I'm I'm not mistaken?

FYI Kramer signed a contract extension with Leverkusen about 4 months ago, and said he'd be returning there (and staying) after his loan at Borussia Monchengladbach.

Might be a tricky deal to pull off, if he's one of the alternatives to MS.

Would be shocked if we didn't sell or loan out at least eight by the end of August. Can see us bringing in more than five too. I'm stuck on the notion that we'd only bring in one center back, when it is clear that only one of the ones we currently have is good enough to start on a regular basis. At least two of the others will be sold.

To me, this suggests that Pochettino has recognised our weaknesses and understands how essential it is to get things right this window, which is very promising.

Every area is weak! Basically every position. Defence, midfield, wide man, striker. Let's hope we don't need a GK as well.
