No one expected top4 last season - we hoped. Now we do because we saw, what the team was capable off.

Also all the ITK at the end last season and start this season was, we wouldn't be very active in the window just build on what we have. To be honest i expected a quiet window from the start, just people seem to forget what the info was earlier in the window. Still I understand the frustration when we don't keep up with our opponents, which we need to do imo.
I don't think many expected us to get rid of quite so many as appear to be going

Fucking hell. The vibe/tune on this forum has gotten so sour compared to couple of weeks ago.
It has, and I think it's largely down to the fact that a month ago we had brought in two players required to make us stronger, giving people the belief that we were looking really healthy, only for us to start offloading players and have players missing with speculation about them leaving(N'Jie & Son). The realisation of all of this hit home on Saturday when you only had to look at our bench and see how short we are of options should things go sour on transfers in and injuries.

I'm patient enough to see what happens in the coming days, but it always feels like we bolster in places and then weaken in others.

I'm pretty sure Poch and Levy wouldn't let the team down by having a bunch of youngsters on the bench for a whole season - unless they were good enough.

48 hours mate - the golden number you know!

Lets wait and see.

Steve Parrish the Palace Chairman said , on Talksport last week that he 100% wouldn't sell Zaha to us, even if we offered 50 mil so all the Zaha haters need to chill out. As for Isco? Forgetaboutit

Lol indeed and i agree with you, hope there are irons in the fire ready to go. Can't imagine we would let all these go without a couple of upgrades coming in

Levy....

On one hand a genius for assmebling one of the strongest sides in the PL on zero net spend.

On the other hand, he's a wanker for assembling a side on zero net spend.

Them's yer apples...

atlanta yid on eriksen: His contract is signed sealed and delivered
It was signed yesterday
If this thread hadn't been grumpy enough already, this might just tip it over the edge.

On a positive note, that means the SC coffers will get a nice bump from some!

Shame if we don't get Isco because unwilling to pay the asking price. We really lack 2 elements in our squad from an attacking perspective.

1. Searing pace (Isco doesn't have this, he's quick, but not Mane quick...) but Isco does have this:
2. A world class dribbler (Dembele's our best and is world class further back in the pitch but not so much when the space is tight.) Isco is that person.

This is just opinion, but Isco really fills a big gap in our squad with his ability to dribble. He's got to be one of the best dribblers in the world, with Hazard like ability to beat men in tight spaces. Exactly the sort of player you need to open doors to parked buses - it helps that he has great vision, 2 feet, and ability to pick a pass/cross too...
I'd love for us to sign a player if Isco's tremendous skill and talent. But I fear he might be shredded by some of the more physical characters who play in the Prem, just like Bale experienced

He would undoubtedly get kicked, just like Bale did, but also would win us a lot of free kicks, penalties, yellow cards etc. Remember how many times Bale got opposition right backs sent off? Ultimately, just as with Bale, the cream rises to the top...
