Good morning all. Another day another rumour..........Seeing as some of you couldn't get Karma Chameleon out of your minds yesterday, this morning we're going for a change of pace in the hope that it satisfies the wild rocker that lurks within.................

Last night I said to my wife, "Are your knees swollen?" She replied, "No, they're fine."

So I said "Well, I'm guessing you're not wearing a bra then."

*A&C breaks into song, to the tune of Stand & Deliver by Adam and the Ants.

I'm the dandy eyeteekay who you're too scared to mention
I post so flash and with a dash it's grabbing your attention
The devil take your rumour sites and followers collection!
The way I post you'd think twitter was a brand new invention

Stand and deliver a rumour or your life!
Try reading The Mail or Mirror a pinch of salt is rife!

I'm the dandy eyeteekay so sick of easy rumours
My every post on many sites that people think so smashing
So what's the point of cryptic posts when nothing is worth saying?
It's kind of tough to tell an ITK buff the big mistake he's making

Stand and deliver a rumour or your life!
Try reading The Mail or Mirror a pinch of salt is rife!

And even though I fool arseholes
My cryptics are all mine

We're the dandy eyeteekays so tired of our excuses
Of double meaning cryptic clues where only posters loses
We're the dandy eyeteekays and here's our invitation
"throw your salt right overboard and join our rumour station"

Stand and deliver a rumour or your life!
Try reading The Mail or Mirror a pinch of salt is rife!

And even though I fool arseholes
My cryptics are all mine

Da diddley qa qa da diddley qa qa
Da diddley qa qa da diddley qa qa

Fade out. Run out. Later, tards.

Morning all....new shirts day is here. The gateway to official unveiling of new players!

Have to say I disagree with the latest bit of ITK, DL would fight for the last penny even if he suddenly got the keys to Joe Lewis' bank vault of cash......people with money tend to be like that.

Hoping for investment though ;)

Really hope that we aren't paying ade that sort of cash. Stupid breaking the wage structure for a mercenary who isn't our best player.

It did shock me a bit too, still got slight concerns how some of the senior players - primarily VDV and Ade - will get on with AVB. Hoping for the best though...

I'm not sure I buy that we're paying Ade £150k p/w? That's not breaking our wage structure, that's smashing it!
To double our previous highest wage seems a bit far fetched as there will be plenty of players wanting parity or somewhere close. As much as he's an important player, he's not our best and to have one player being payed so much more than everyone else doesn't make for a harmonious dressing room.
He would have known that by leaving City he wouldn't get wages as close to what he was already on. I'm much more inclined to believe that Ade's on around £100k p/w and recieving a nice lump sum signing on fee to offset.

Even with investment, you'd have to put a fair few others on wages nearing that for it to not have a negative impact on the dressing room.

Remember that £150k p/w is £7.5m a season, while Luka is on a reported £2.5m... If the club still want the little Croatian at the club then offering wages like that would be the first thing to try. I don't buy it.

More likely to be a lower wage than that but a lump sum up front to compensate - which DL will have shaved off the asking price from City :)

IF we are not just breaking, but also smashing, our supposed wage for Ade, I feel we should rather just double Lukas wages to try and make him stay.

It's justifiable if the transfer fee is low. Total contract value is what matters and there aren't many players like Adebayor around that either are cheaper or would want to come.

Adebayor was one of our most important players last season and it's crucial we retain him.

For Ade to be paid the sort of money Galahad has said it would go against everything we have heard about any potential deal.

Totally this.

Whilst the overall wage might work out at the same as 150k a week, I am sure this is in an upfront signing on fee, as normally you would have to pay well over 10m to get someone of Ade's quality. So if we're paying nearer 5, then it's understandable that DL would sanction some of the funds to go into an upfront payment.

Cannot for the life of me believe we would openly pay him 150k on an actual weekly salary?! Unless there's other reasons, clauses etc... or others would be banging down the door surely?!

And if we can pay Ade that much, then I would expect to be able to sign a whole host of players those kind of wages! We're talking more than or close to Rooney-esque wages if this was true.

Even goons don't pay that. They have CLand stadium revenues that we can only dream of. Doubt he's on a basic 150k pw.

I am not even sure MUFC pay that... is Rooney just hitting that?

Even MCFC for feck sake don't have that many players above that and they pay outrageous wages.

More dodgy make-up A&C. It's alright, you can tell us, we'll keep it quiet. ;)

Anyway, more importantly it's my birthday. Let's make it a good one! Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to.....fades into the distance
