I am not sure I want to sell Ade either tbh, he is on his day a bloody decent striker, so we had better have some decent players lined up if we are shipping him out already.

Of course, IF Villa is coming in, then I would believe that he would be almost a certain to start up front & IF up front as striker and not a LF or RF then where does that leave Ade... on the bench? I cant see him being open to playing 2nd fiddle to Villa, so maybe there is also the factor that Ade might not want to stay.

Not saying he can't fight for his place and prove his worth and keep Villa on bench or playing out of position*, but for me it's likely a question of attitude, what is his in this instance?

Will be interesting.

Problem with Ade is that he is not a natural striker. Frankly he is shocking in front of goal. But he is highly talented and can be hugely effective in the right team and when he is motivated.

At the end of the season he improved but if we can get Soldado + Villa for Adebayor + Defoe it would be awesome business.

Not necessarily, Villa might have to fight his way into the team like Lioris.

as much as I take the piss out of Ade and his laziness and poor attitude at times, i'd like to see him stay too.

He does need to pull his finger out this season and show us the footballer he can be. He's on a big wedge and he needs to prove his worth but I do like him and believe he has a lot to offer.
I hate your avatar! It is impossible to retain anything you write when a big close-up of a butt is in ones face. I will assume that you only write really nice stuff about Theo Walcott from now on.

EDIT: Wait! Now that I read my own response, you actually make some sense. :)

Villa's going to be our man from the left hand side, Bale probably from the right and Ade will be up top unless we really blow our beans and buy a top striker, but I can't see that.

However rumours (only on other boards thus far) of a bid for Soldado this morning.

Ade is different to the other strikers we have got and have been linked to. I think he is going to have a decent season if he stays. He will have a proper pre-season, no ANC and decent competition (hopefully).

When he was a goon, he played off Henry and spent a great deal of time running the same channels he does now.

I believe he weighed in with around 30 that season, no idea on assists though.

I reckon he could play on the Left of Villa in a 433. He could easily interchange with Bale, allowing Bale to exploit the width out left whenever necessary.

Ade is also able to pick a very neat pass too, so long as he has intelligent runs off him.

I think he enjoys working alongside intelligent players and they don't come too much more intelligent than David Villa.

Outside left, it really wouldn't surprise me if he ends up there.

And doing a sterling job there too.

The Mirror is reporting that Arsenal could still hijack the deal with the Croatian lads, hopefully there is no truth in it.

Cannot see them pay such a high price for two 17 years lads , not fitting their style
A bit worry , but IMO still confident

Wanting Ade to stay may be academic, i dont think he will if he thinks he wont get a first team slot.

Someone asked the Dinamo prez the question of 'could the players leave for another club?' and he said 'yes it's possible', then someone asked if Arsenal could and he again said yes.

Doesn't mean they will go for the players or will but as long as the players aren't signed by Spurs it does mean someone, anyone (including Arsehole) could come along and bid the same.
