Good stuff. We needed a CM.

I actually like McCarthy but it really isn't a priority so I hope we're not spending too much time on this deal. Would mean Hudd, Parker and Livermore are all leaving on permanent deals though.

Parker, huddlestone, livermore, jenas out --- paulinho , mcCarthy in........... Though i would prefer someone more creative but i think we are going to imply that our creativity will come from caroll , siggurdsson and holtby and from left winger we sign...

I would take McCarthy in a heartbeat over Livermore and to a lesser extent Parker.

However I wonder how much game time he would get when Sandro, Paulinho and Dembele are all fit.

Good for squad rotation though

If he's been a member for 4 years doubt he's on a windup so will take it as possible.
McCarthy is a good player, can do a bit of everything but does need to work on shooting. He's only 22 so plenty of time to improve as well. Would be very happy with this signing

Why would we sign another Midfielder? We would be way too stacked unless there is concern over Dembele.

Also why is he called genuine ITK; isn't that trying to almost prove he is.

McCarthy is surely going to cost in excess of £10million and Paulinho has basically negated any need of bolstering the middle of the park.

Good player but i'm really struggling how we fit Dembele, Sandro, Paulinho and McCarthy in a side!

Good for rotation especially as we know we'll be taking the Europa League very seriously. I think AVB wants more strength in depth so he can stick to his guns on the Europa League whilst not compromising League performance. He wants both basically and that's a good move in my mind.

We want to be able to rotate and still have a feeling that we have a very strong side out.

Yeah, if McCarthy is coming in I would guarantee that Livermore, Parker and Huddlestone are all out if we can find a suitor for each. Livermore would probably have a sell-on % in his deal I'm guessing.

I really don't think that's true, however.

That ITK on McCarthy sounds very, very convincing!

(it was reported... that) Everton had a £12m bid turned down the other day and were told it was £8m short of what they want.
even if we think we will move the likes of Parker, Hud and Livermore on we would still have

Sandro, Paulhinio, Dembele, Carroll, Holtby and Sigy

Dont think we need to get another CM in unless he will be offering something different or a lot more than what we have.
