You do realise the window has only just opened and apart from 2 or 3 sides nobody has been active in signing players yet don't you ?

Didn't want you to be all dissapointed:rolleyes:

you've either been on holiday or your internet provider has pulled the plug on you...wake up dude!

A war chest would suggest we have money to spend this summer!

You got negative rating for this but i wouldn't think it's far from the truth. We will probably only buy with money made through sales again. Wanyama was bought with the money we got from townsend. We will probaly buy before we sell but i think we will have ballanced the books by the end of the transfer window. We still have the stadium to pay for.

People might expect us to splash out due to the tv deal and cl but i think they will be disappointed. Hope i'm wrong but wont hold my breath.

Even with the new stadium i still cant see us taking the brakes off i would assume its more of the same because it works well for enic, leaving bigger turnover and profits not that is wrong but cant see the club splurging it ever.

Biggest problem is it our big money signings tend to be poor, and our good value ones a hit. Why would ENiC go back to he old model?

I think it depends who we sell. Vorm, fazio, de yedlin Carroll, bentaleb, mason, son, Chadli, Pritchard even Clinton if the right offer comes in. I doubt we will sell all of these players, but 4-5 could go.

I think 3-4 top class signings are needed. Man city man Utd and Chelsea are going to be a lot stronger next season. Top 4 won't be easy next year.

Has anyone mentioned a 'war chest' yet? I'm playing ITK bingo and mamma needs a new pair of shoes. Shoeless bitch.
Looks like we're in "advanced talks" for "wantaway" Janssen, who has issued a "come-and-get-me plea".

Also had "tentative enquiries" for Sanabria, but Roma have issued a "hands-off warning".

What do I win?

I'd be surprised if we got 3-4 top class signings. Look for signings with potential in the 10-15m price bracket. VW is a good signing (which I'm pleased with) he provides cover and competition for dier, but he isn't top class

In that Telegraf interview: "The best thing would be is if Tottenham, AZ and Vincent Janssen are satisfied" says Vincent Janssen.

Any man who has the balls to talk 3rd person with a straight face is clearly insane and exactly what we need up front. We need that looney edge

I'm pretty sure we have been 'saving for the stadium' for over a decade now, meticulously planned long before these crazy revenue streams of recent years, however I'm certain most of our fans would keep rolling out this mantra even if it was delayed until 2025.

Janssen is small change these days, and while I think walking away from Batshuayi at £33m is the right move, I really think we should be wrapping Janssen up sooner rather than later, not squabbling over £1-2m. That said the Vertonghen deal dragged a long time over something like loyalty bonus so could be a similar situation.

We have to be careful not to live in the past though, players may prefer us but won't wait around forever, clubs won't accept last year's fees, and there's always a chance a bigger fish fancies an easy meal the longer we leave it open.

I do agree with the no war chest sentiment, I'm just not overly happy with it (I'd feel less aggrieved with low spending if all these long mooted new contracts had come into fruition too).

Personally for me son, bentaleb, pritch and clinton deserve this season, or atleast until january.
Also it appears poch rates mason who in fairness was great when fit(not last season)
Yes i would sell fazio, de yedlin, carroll and chadli but perhaps keep vorm if hes happy as backup

Would love a signing like a Lacazette to augment a VJ and VW but if we were to only get the latter two I wouldn't be too upset, it's just I feel we need a bit of a marquee signing that will definitely improve the first team and lacazette would do that for me but whoever That type of player might be they would cost more than it feels like we're willing to pay :-( such a shame. Still hopeful DL and Poch have something up their sleeve :)

Don't think we need a marquee signing at all. Give me another alli, dier or toby all day long.
