You have to remember just how young our side is. It will improve with coaching and experience, regardless of signings.

Oh I have no doubt and I'm not advocating whole sale changes. I would just like a player who could provide a bit of craft, pace and intelligence in the final third.

I don't think you can say with any certainty it will improve. All you can do is hope it will. That's the risk with going with young up and coming players rather than buying ready made stars. It's served us well in recent years so worth continuing with.

You cant say with any certainty that buying ready made stars will improve us on the pitch either......

So does everyone.

But I think everyone realizes there aren't many players like that and the ones which are known are for the most part out of our reach.

Great news that Janssen seems to be done (again!).

Just saying, but on this day last year we announced: Toby, new stadium and the NFL deal...come on now Daniel.
Wanyama, Jansen .......... Come on Daniel, we only need one more

That's not what I said though is it, don't twist my words, I said that you can't guarentee the players at the club will improve year on year, all you can do is hope they will.

You said "That's the risk with going with young up and coming players rather than buying ready made stars"

Im just commenting that there are risks with either - not the same risks...... just risks

Mixed bag really, recent years being last summer...before that there was Stambouli and Fazio and before that there's was the magnificent 7 which turns into the magnificent 3.

It's all about balance.
